Somehow I find it very doubtful that anyone that matters will be there...

Honestly it doesn't seem like this was well thought out. Most of the members don't live near by, there are some people who would be willing to travel but they haven't been given enough notice to really do so, hell even those in the area weren't given enough notice to ask off work as there are quite a few people here who do work nights and weekends.

You really aren't proofing your posts before you walk away from them, are you?
Maybe you ARE spending too much time online.

To be fair, those are pictures of people in Gothic gear hanging around someplace. They flatter those folks just fine. But, since you can't see anything much of the backgrounds in any of those pics, there's no way of knowing where the pics were taken. They don't showcase the venue at all.

Only teasing. I would have claimed drinking as a more viable excuse, but coffee works.

I don't know what the big deal is. If you are not going to go... why even respond?
So, I'm not going. I have plenty of excuses. I'm also not going to Australia to spend a night hanging around a club.
If you want to go, why don't you say I want to go instead of being such bitches about everything?

It's all about the business travel write offs and expense accounts: if the admins and owners have a reason to visit LA then why not? And it is also who you know in the business: if you are trying to market your websites and promote them with shakers and movers higher up in the food chain you go to LA. Show business 101.
Besides there are some fun clubs in the Hollywood area. And shops too.

I like that way. Gang shootings and stabbings kind of ruin a good thing.

I think the short notice point was a fair criticism. You buy an airline ticket less than 21 days in advance and you normally will pay through the nose.

It seems a bit of an odd thing to have , seeing has half the people on here aren't even living in the US or have the budget to fly to Hollywood regardless of location.

Bar Sinister sucks anyways. They actually charge you a higher cover charge if you're not dressed "like a goth".
I was like whaaaaaaaaat.
For the record, I do live near there. Just not going.

WELLL HELLLooooO GNET!
My daughter and I got there fashionably late, and had tons of fun!
She drank, I danced, I met Amelia and introduced her to my daughter, after which Amelia immediately took photographs of my daughter and I, and inside was a professional photographer who took more photos of us, together and individual. We saw an incredible band, Tragic Tantrum, what energy! What presence! My daughter and I were dancing and screaming "We love you!" when they finished. DJ Tommy spun up excellent dance music too. And the bar itself is very interesting, small but each little alcove, each corner was dramatic and intimate. And not only the club dancing girls wore pasties, some of the Customers did too. We weren't allowed to take pictures inside, but I did manage to sneak a video of the band playing.
Anyway, photos will be uploaded soon. Going to bed now...smiling.

Hello there, its Zeph Tragic. I started The Tragic Tantrum a few years ago with Zoe Tantrum. I caught your kind forum post and just wanted to say hi.
We put a lot of work into our musical project and our payoff is meeting people like you who connect and respond to our art. For what its worth, we're glad to have been a part of the evening, both yours and your daughter's.
Best wishes in all things,
-Zeph Tragic

You honor me with your kind post! I was the old, bearded man who told you "amazing fingers!" as you were carrying the keyboard off the stage.
Please tell me: what was the name of the song you performed before you played your version of House of the Rising Sun? All your songs were great, but I want to buy the CD containing that one but don't know the title (it was very loud in there!). Also, any links to tour dates in Southern California?
Thanks! I know your band will hit it big!
