You know what I did today? Had a cricket spitting competition with live crickets in front of a church. Not my church, per se. THAT'S man stuff--all the chicks screamed, and MY girl threatened to throw up. Awesome. They even let me take them home.... Let me just bring up again how much I hate this question. I hate it, it doesn't make any sense.

It is foreseeable that, perhaps, there may be a couple of people on a forum at "gothic.net" might feel as though they completely fit within a gender role assigned to their sex and that only... but it just isn't likely.

Even if it wasn't a gothic forum, it's 2010, officially the future, and trying to hold on to gender role like they actually mean something just comes off as desperate to me... something old people who are afraid to die would do.

And the biggest problem is that the question is clearly asking what your sex is, but it says "gender" in a context that focuses on your personality, and not your physical sex. The problems with this are innumerable, and my head is going to explode if I think about it anymore.

Anywhichways, my point is that the question was worded to make Ophelia hate you. By using gender and not sex in a way that clearly means they want to know your physical sex, you answered with both. When pressed, you just mentioned things that you felt put you into a more masculine mindset. And you aren't wrong... standards of gender are only based on your expectations of them, "farting and drinking" are only masculine to you because... they are masculine to you. That's it.

But because the question is so... awkward, Ophelia would look at that and go "what the shit is this? how does that quantify anything?" Because everyone is going to have a different reaction to that horribly worded question. It's probably all just a misunderstanding. That, or some people really are that obnoxiously stand-offish. I prefer to blame the question.

I'm really ranting myself off a cliff here, so ima sum this up by saying that the whole thing is a conspiracy run by the lizard men from beyond the moon.

Guys can be a lot easier to get along with, but lately, I have been spending a lot of time with other women, and I have to say, it's pretty great!
Like anything else, it always helps to have a good group going....and my current knitting group consists of a variety of personalities, some of whom are the type of women who don't always get along with their own gender.
