Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Music For Moods
Music is emotional. With that in mind, alot of music holds a certain mood.
So, when you are feeling _____ what is your favorite artist or song to listen to.
- Angry
- Bad-ass
- Sad
- Somber.
- GAF
I`ll start.
- From The Cradle To Enslave by CoF. It just feeds my hate quite well.
-Lynch`s Mood by Rungran when I feel badass. (from the Devil May Cry Anime Soundtrack)
- Marian by Sisters of Mercy. Any brooding Sisters actually, and the whole album Pornography by The Cure because it gets me thinking, gets my mind off what is actually bothering me.
- Help me! by Apop when I`m feeling somber and calm. And anything abstract-electro. Anything from Peter Murphy works too.
-Rose Garden Funeral of Sores. this song was one of the first I ever heard by Bauhaus. Every aspect of it represents everything I love about the genre. This song is perfect, though just as a note, I`d love a modern gothic/doom band to try and cover it.
I thought this would be a good way to show what emotions and sides people see in songs and for others to share, as everyone in the section tends to spend alot of time in the `...listening to`thread.

Angry= Nine Inch Nails: Somewhat Damaged/ A great "This is what you made me" song
Badass= PIG: Vitriol Vice and Virtue/ A lot of PIG songs are badass.
Sad= Tom Waits: A Little Rain.../ Reminds me that everyone has hard times.
Somber= Nick Cave: Henry Lee/ What's more somber than romanticizing death?
GAF= I have no idea what GAF is. So I'll just add Emerson Lake & Palmer's Karn Evil 9

lmao. Eventually I hope someone will remember what G.A.F. means.
And on the note of death. A girl from my school died tonight, in a car with 5 other teens. Sure they are idiots for partying like that recklessly but still, images going through my mind are making me quite calm, quiet and somber. The lifeless body being taken away while the idiots sit there, dazed, drunk and scared.
