The "Many good reasons to dress in black" thread
I didn't see anything like this around, so, here goes. (If anything like this IS around - SORRY! !)
Here's the deal.
Mention as many reasons as you can to wear black! (:
I feel individual.
I can stand myself.
Stains don't show very well.

-It looks better on me.
-It's slimming, or so they say.
-Stains don't show well, as mentioned above.
-It's not an outrageous color/shade, and won't make you stand out and become the center of unwanted attention. Like those girls who wear lime green shirts with hot pink shorts. Well, it won't make you stand out unless you're in a sea of color.
-Black matches with everything.
-It's just fucking cool, and can make you look badass. Har har har.
-Boots look motherflipping awesome with black.
Okay, some of those reasons are pretty retarded, but there's my two cents for this thread. =)

Quite simply, it makes me feel good. A few years ago, I went an entire week wearing nothing but my work uniform - I'd come home from work, take my clothes off and not put any of my non-work clothes on (I didn't go anywhere that week out of tiredness). When I finally did put something black on, I felt like I was slipping on some kind of magical cloak; I just felt different, better.

I like that you don't really have to try to match anything with black, putting on black is like putting on a clean canvas - it's just open for any kind of creativity. It's easy and comforting.
And it's probably just me, but wearing different colours puts me in a different mood. Black makes me feel calm and at peace.

I can blend into the wall of a local club my friends frequent,Cover my face with my arm to hide it's paleness, and then leap out at people and go BOO!!!
Joking.
It suits me far more than colours ever have ( seriously you should see some of the pics of me a few years ago ) .
It is slimming to some degree, which is handy when you are my size.
I just...like it.

a.) It easily absorbs heat in the summertime and makes you perspire.
b.) It tends to fade after numerous washes.
c.) It's easy to find one particular article of clothing amongst a pile of other black items.

That's my case . Since I'm 11-12 I wear mostly black and I feel much comfortable , kinda "that's-myself"...
Another reason is that you don't need to waste time selecting any colours when you need to dress up in the morning ... And don't waste time by shopping ... And maybe you can easily scare people (who can see you in the darkness?)....
Aaaand ... Because once a priester said to me : "You look like a priester" . A beatnick said to me : "You are in" . And finally because all the goths I've found said to me : "You aren't goth at all , you look like a medium" ...
But the main reason is simply because I feel myself soooo cold ... :-P

My favorite clothes are all black.
Anyways, black helps you maintain a warmer temperature while in cold weather, since it attracts heat. It also looks good on me, I think. Also, black is the color of the night. Sorry for some of the stupid reasons.

I have a good reason. It matches my hair and makes me look paler, also makes my eyes stand out. The only times people can see the green in my eyes Is if I am wearing black.
