Hello
My name is Mondo Generator and I'm an okay person I guess, I'll present you with some credentials that you can judge me by and come to a conclusion of whether or not you consider me to be decent or an utter bellend.
I'm studying film at university (WHY DON'T YOU GET A REAL MAJOR) which inevitably means I am a complete dosser or passionate about film, except I'm pretty sure it means both. It would take all day to listen my favourite films, so a couple I like are On The Waterfront, Once Upon A Time in America and Mysterious Skin.
I also like music, pre-dominately hip hop. More specifically Cage, Mos Def, Murs and Atmosphere. I also like a lot of hardcore punk like Bad Brains and Minor Threat. I have a soft spot for glorious artists like Tom Waits and Bob Dylan as well.
I hope I'm presentable enough for the forum.

Ha, thanks. I do like Immortal Technique, but I find he's become very overrated over the years. I find his flow pretty drab, and his delivery. Lyrically he is absolutely amazing though. So maybe he does deserve his plaudits. I take it you are a Hip Hop fan then?

I'm into political music. Hip hop has a rich history of class consciousness, and much more poetry than punk. I wouldn't consider myself a Hip Hop fan, though. I don't know enough about it.

Ah that's fair enough. Got any specific rappers you like other than IT? I find Ill Bill to be a good political rapper, he's not as good as Immortal Technique but he has a lot worth saying at least. American History X and Society is Brainwashed are both great songs.

My favorite is still The Coup. Then there's Marxman and of course dead prez. They've told me about this group called Binary Star, but I haven't heard them.

Ah, Binary Star are amazing. Masters of the Universe is probably the most underrated hip hop album of all time, and I don't say that lightly. It's also the only thing they ever released, although One Be Lo has some great solo material.
The Coup and dead prez are excellent as well, although admittedly I haven't listened to 'Steal this Album' in a very long while, 'Revolutionary But Gangsta' still gets regular play from me though.
