the charges must be different depending on where you live. This girl who went to my school took pictures of herself naked and sent them to everybody on her contacts list; including my friend who was at my house with me when she sent the picture. We didn't do anything assuming it was some type of prank( the picture was so blurry you couldn't tell her face let alone anything else) but apparently someone got the pic at a football game and some parents behind them saw it and called security. All they got was a warning and the girl got questioned by the police and got grounded by her parents. The only bad thing that almost happened was that she nearly got kicked out of her catholic high school. In the end, all she had to do was go to confession and talk to a nun at mass or something.

It doesn't make much sense for her to be charged with possession of child pornography even though it is herself but really that is just wrong! Not only was she taking naked pictures of herself but she is a minor taking naked pictures not for her own enjoyment but for older men to enjoy. I can't believe I'm saying this but isn't like that waving a big wad of raw meat around so the big bad wolf will find you sooner? At least in this case the big bad wolf came in the form of a child pornography charge. This is just weird and very sickening.

I say that she (and any other person) should be able to take as many naked pics of themselves as they want, and distribute them as they like. As long as it's them.
If something happens and they get stalked, r****, or whatever, then it is not their fault...it is the sick f*ck that is doing the stalking, r*****, or whatever. It is not their fault that some greasy pervert got ahold of their pics and decided to find them.
The girl in question...well, I think that she should just be told by her parents that doing that might result in some of the things that I mentioned above...and for her to be more careful in the future.
No one made her take the pics. She probably just did it for a thrill or whatever...and if it's true that it was just a pic of her tits...then what is the big f*cking deal, anyway? And it was to a 27 year old guy. Big deal.
I hope the courts just throw this one out.

One of my friends from school told me and showed me on the web that her 32 year old uncle was charged with child molestation at age 8 because he got ***** by his 12 year old babysitter and hes been charged as a sexual predator since then.
The laws in this country are fucking stupid and ridiculous some of them i see and i see the child pornography law of course as a good law but if there going to have them they really need to actually understand there own laws better if there going to charge people with them.

One of my sisters friends from the age of 13 used to carry on like that, picking up men in pubs and taking them home after telling them she was 18 (she looked it and they had no reason to doubt her). In her case she was predatory herself but in other cases young girls are really taken advantage of by older men who use their lack of life experience against them.
It is really a problem in some ways to try and protect young girls from older men, but I think its quite clear in this case that the girl will probably be harmed more by the charges than is really necessary. Its also unclear if this man was in fact 'grooming' her and put her up to it, or whether she went after him whilst lying about her age, or somewhere in the middle and that makes a difference.
I don't think its really fair to charge her with taking child porn, but if taking the pictures was engaging in a sexual activity then maybe a charge of underage sexual activity would be more appropriate if bringing any charges would be beneficial.
I do also believe this charge is an insult to the seriousness of the sexual abuse children suffer who really are photographed by **********.

Many states are getting stricter on this.
Some of you may have heard this story...In the city where I work, the local prosecutor arrested the assistant principle of a high school , for having child porn, because supposedly there is a "sexting" epidemic in the school, and he confronted a kid that had a blurry photo of a half nude girl on his cell phone, covering her breasts, and had the kid email it to his office computer, because he didn't know how to phone to phone transfer it, then reported it the incident to his boss, the principle.
Now the prosecuter is trying to force him to quit or bringing him up on charges of child porn . And the principle isnt backing the guy up at all.
Funny also, we had a girl come into our store, who goes to the same school, and flashed her tits to the guys in the back then later took a photo of them after she left and sent it to all the guys.
She was 15.
I warned the guys to delete the photos and dont say anything else about it..if it got out they could get charged with lots of things..procecuters in this country are rabid to charge anyone regardless of the situation.
BTW, 27 years old or not, if it was a kid she sent it to instead it wouldnt have mattered, the kid would prob have also gotten charged with receiving child porn, even if he was YOUNGER then her.
This country& it's laws are fucked up.

The law always oversteps its bounds.
There are things that the parents need to handle, such as this case and the Law needs to butt out.
The only way the law should maybe get involved is to maybe have her take some sort of special class for these types of situations, to warn and educate them about the dangers of doing that .
Other then that, it should be up to the parents to punish the twit for being stupid and reckless.
A nice ass whipping, or grounding.
