Delighted to make your acquaintance!
I'm a student in Tallahassee, Florida, trying to earn my AA. I write a good deal, short fiction and some poetry. I've been involved in Theatre and have spent some time learning Fencing and Kendo. I absolutely love to read, and right now am almost done with Anne Radcliffe's Mysteries of Udolpho. I'm mostly into fantasy (George R.R. Martin and China Mieville especially) and horror (Clive Barker and H.P. Lovecraft being absolute favorites). I'm also a huge anime geek (watching my way through Nabari and Fate/Stay Night at the moment). I enjoy movies as a whole. Not really into one genre so much as simply into movies that have a lot of passion and intensity and make viewers feel like they've stumbled into another world in which anything can happen. Needless to say I'm a huge David Lynch fan, and absolutely adore Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks.
I spend entirely too much time listening to music, and got into the Goth + Industrial scene about five years ago via stumbling upon a Cruxshadows CD at my library .
My favorite Industrial bands in the scene include Funker Vogt, yelworC, Front 242, i:Scintilla, Coil, KMFDM, Laibach, and The Azoic, among others, and my favorite Gothier bands include Siouxsie, Fields of the Nephilim, Christian Death, The Mission, and The Cure.
I can usually be found either in class, loitering on campus, at the local Industrial night (less so lately), desperately trying to find a job and make something of myself in the world, or at home working on whatever project takes my fancy and guzzling as much coffee as I possibly can.
