Fuck you, and your shit

Your musical tastes are terrible. I haven't been on this forum in like 3 months, and I come back to this.

Ok, so maybe you don't agree with the others about musical tastes.
Buy why should it matter so much?! It isn't bothering you while discussing politics/literature/...
And what did you want to achieve with criticizing people's tastes? You tought it would change them?

For the record I hate Pink Floyd. But I love Rush so much I'd probably use Rush enemas if they made them available.

Bite me, POS. Hard, wherever you'd like ;-)

I respect Pink Floyd, but I can't listen to much of them without sleepin.

Which is why I'd mix in some Rush, PF's music is a bit too mellow.

Pink Floyd is good but I didn't like The Wall. So shoot me, I thought it was bombastic and boring. I don't have the attention span for that kind of thing.

I can't get into progressive rock anymore. Once I thought that The Wall was the best thing since sliced bread, but then I got over it.

I don't really mind being called judgemental for not liking hippy music. I don't judge anyone's personality on it, but I grew up in a fucking hippy town full of hippy-ass people, and I feel I've earned my right to say that I can't stand Pink Floyd, but I especially can't stand the Grateful Dead. I'm pretty vocal about not liking jam-bands.

The Grateful Dead make me want to punch a hole in my skull. Last year, my dad got on this big GD kick after seeing Phil Lesh in concert and I could hardly stand to be in the same house with him.

I know the bassist/keyboard player for Phil's band. Personally. For like, 35 years. He is a professor teaching music at Chico State. And yes, even though he invites me to shows, I don't go because...well, I never got into that kind of music either, even when Jerry was alive.

But my friend is a really fun guy to hang out with, him and I can quote entire passages of Firesign Theatre. Passers by wonder what we're talking about.

And I own a few ties sold under the "Garcia" brand name. They're wicked cool.

Eh, I like the bombastic-ness. If there's one thing guaranteed to save a borderline-pretentious creation, it's an injection of humor.

I don't tend to haunt the music boards on here as there's relatively little variety - I don't like much "gothic" music. Whining's where the action is.
