Now, that's debatable. Clearly his "excuse me" was not for clarification, so it could be defined as sarcasm, yes? Which means, to me, that he threw the first punch.

Additionally, some of us are sarcastic by nature. Nothing was overly mean or personal in this thread, and I don't see why people should have to be sunshine and puppy dogs. Everyone was polite, cordial, and truthful. Why is that wrong?

Hmm I think we should try and devise a meathod for how to handle these people. The bad thing is it will be hard to find a way to discuss such a meathod without the people it is designed to weave out seeing it and using it to their advantage.
