So I buy a new pair of jeans and put them on and Mr Bat says, "Oh are they new? they look exactly like your old jeans."
My old jeans are black, although now they are more grey.. new ones are blue and are a little on the distressed side.
Men! Honestly he's turned into an old woman!

Gah, vandals struck again. Our office is kind of tucked out of sight, there's a camera facing the door to our hallway, but no cameras in the hallway. Our door is always locked and they couldn't get in (they seemed to try and pick the lock with bobby pins), and last time they drew graffiti everywhere and destroyed the pamphlet holder we have out in the hallway, in case anyone needs them and the office is closed.
I don't know if they marked everything up again, but I just got an email saying our pamphlet holder is once again destroyed and scattered. Does knowing about syphilis enrage people? Do they not like free tampons? WTF?

Maybe it's the tampons, some people just can't seem to handle them.

Me: ...and you look surprised because..?
My roommate: You sure you ain't a vampire ?
Me: We had this conversation already, Mel.

Blow it I'm going to put on a BBQ and invite a bunch of people around to help me... well it's going to be a case of "Do you remember all those favours I did for you over the past x years? Well now I'm calling them in..."
Nah... that won't even work, because I do favours but never call them in... fark!! i've had dark chocolate.. man I really need to stay off that stuff because of the caffiene... okay mental note.. caffiene, dark chocolate will make the fence go up faster...

I'd help you fence, but you know the media twisting everything up "Male mid twenties fences 16 yr old schoolgirl"..... So maybe that's not such a great idea

You think you shouldn't have to put in a fence because you're a woman?

That would be friggin' hilarious! You had me laughing at that one!
Underwater - nope never said that I shouldn't have to fence because I'm a woman - in fact I do a lot of things around the house that could be considered guy stuff - depending how you categorise them....
I absolutely adore my hammer drill, my self-propelled lawn mower and my double cut saw that I use to cut down trees.
I've never said "Ew, that's man's work and I can't/won't do it."
I have said "Hmm.. I'm not sure how to do that, but I'm willing to learn." - which is what I'm doing at the moment, reading up on fencing, because I've never done rural fencing before (I've put up a colourbond fence).

I guess that's what confused me. You know, when you said it outright.

Filling out paperwork is bad enough, creating paperwork is just obnoxious. Unfortunately it happens to be one of my new responsibilities. I mean I could just leave a lot of it the way it is but most of it really isn't very clear or helpful cuz the last team lead was a moron so I'm forcing myself to do it.
That and I get to come up with a training schedule for our summer hires from scratch cuz we don’t actually have a training schedule and that *gasp* led to a lot of confusion and accidental policy breaking among hires last summer.

because I talk dribble 99.99999% of the time. My brain works faster than my fingers, which isn't that much of a headspin considering I type one finger, and it takes me a minute to find each letter, so this response it taking me quite awhile to type out...
*stops for lunch*
Ah there we go back at it again.... I guess I was hinting at the fact that guys tend to think that household chores are women's work BUT it still doesn't stop women from doing the chores considered to be men's work ON TOP of their own household chores... hmm.. not explaining it very well.. ohh well it's dinner time... I have to go cook dinner before I put teh garbage out and do the weekly maintainance on teh cars before I bath the babybat and put him to bed...

Bah. Boyfriend's grandma just died. What's creepy is we live right across the street from a cemetery and that's where the funeral is. That's where she is right now. He also told me that his grandfather is there. My great grandmother is, too.
He got a call from his sister that his step-mom (Who raised him and is like his Mom Mom, considering his real mom is an idiot) is going to be put in the hospital because her blood's so thick she can't even stand up. She's on an oxygen tank and it's all because she smoked. I just saw her like a week ago and she looked fine to me, but I guess she hides it really well-I didn't even know. She's refusing treatment because she doesn't have insurance and all their money went to fixing up their house that BURNED DOWN last summer.
His life fucking sucks and I have no idea how to make him feel better.
When I was younger I used to start thinking about the inevitability of death and have panic attacks (I would get panic attacks for other reasons, but this is the main one). It seems like so long from now that it'll happen but one day it will. Anyway, this would freak me right the fuck out and I haven't had a panic attack in about three years but all this stuff is starting to get to me and I've been having them again lately. Bah. Bad start to the year, methinks.

Hand me your phone HP! I'm really good at losing things. I think someone once suggested leaving it in the glovebox was a good place for oncall mobiles XD

Gah right ovary I thought you were all done being a pain in my butt (well pain in my abdomen) but nope it decided to hurt like a mother fucker for no apparent reason. Thankfully wings, drinks, chocolate cake, and the company of a good friend. Bitch still hurts though, I may have to call my doc if it doesn't feel better tomorrow.

Yeah I have had issues with it in the past (it would get rather inflamed when releasing an egg but my GP took me off of birth control and it stopped having problems, when I got up to my gyno she put me on a different birth control and the problem didn't come back). I don't know if this is related to whatever was causing that issue, if this is something new to be worried about, or if this is just a one time kind of deal. If it doesn't feel better I'll call my doc, if it does feel better then I'm not going to worry much about it but I'll mention it to my gyno in my next visit.

My skinny teenage cousin (she's turning 15 this year) is complaining about getting fat on facebook The rational part of me is sad, the superhero in me says Super Feminist should fly in and tell her what's what, and the Emma Pillsbury in me is thinking "I have a pamphlet for that!"
