Try Manhattan. NY and NJ have loads of old factories, gates, and graffiti. Just stay out of the ghetto. If you want. I always see places on the sides of highways I'd like to take pictures at. I have no time, though. Oh, well.

Back on topic...?
Going for looks only, I like men with dazzling eyes and comforting voices. Also, a strong arm is a plus. I don't like much muscle, though. I prefer the lean/ thin athletic type, and if he's wearing nice clothes and a hair cut that suits him, I'm usually rather fascinated.
But really, it all comes down to his manners, behaviour and personality. I like gentlemen who know how to treat a girl right. Too bad they're going extinct around here... A guy who kisses your hand and opens the doors for you is probably just a nice daydream... :/ Pity.

Hmph! I open doors and show up on time, actually early mostly.
I hate that a few bad ones ruin it for us all.
Growing up I was always taught to be polite and whatnot. Don't know how some people are raising their kids now... (another hmph!)
Although I've let my looks slidethe last six months, monday is war day to restart my health!!!!
I've seriously gained 20lbs in the last six months due to traveling and stress. But no more!!!!

Guys suffer in image because of the actions of a few. Like any group from religion to race to nationality, you only hear about the extremist assholes who fuck it up for everyone else.
Not all Muslims are terrorists, not all Baptists are glazed-eyed frothing abortion clinic bombers, and not all men are polished pieces of shit.
men just need a better marketing rep.

So true, Molly... You know, I once met a drummer that insisted that all drummers are stupid - people like that just reinforce stereotypes!

Lol! I think you've found the solution.
I'm so glad I'm not a guy. How are you supposed to be decent even if you want to be, when half the women will flip out over feminist equality if you open a door, and the other half with think you're an ill-mannered shmuck if you don't?
Maybe women make less money, but men are expected to take responsibility for things they just aren't responsible for and not have a problem with it. Have you ever watched Dr. Phil? They should just be honest and call it "The man-hating castration hour."
I, for one, appreciate your mother's effort AO, if raised she you with manners. I don't know why parents think teaching their kids manners is oppressive and outdated these days.

The thing I find most attractive about a guy is if I can have some funny repartee with him. I like a guy who's clever enough to think of a witty comeback to anything I throw his way.
Physically, long hair is my favorite thing... as long as it's well-kept.

I just read what you wrote republigoth.
I'm flattered, thanks.
Here's something funny about being a guy.
If you aren't familiar with how guys act on motorcycles here's the gist. When you pass someone, you wave, when broken down you stop. It's a pretty good brotherhood thing, I like it. But today, traveling to my self storage thing I just rented, I had my scooter on the back (I'm not to ashamed to ride one, seeing as I've owned countless motorcycles so pleh!). Well anyway. These guys on chopped out harleys were wavin to me in my car and given me a thumbs up. I don't know if theyliked me or the car... Just kinda funny things men do....

Guys: try not to worry about whether or not your date is a feminist and be a gentleman. Plain and simple. Would you really be interested in someone who might get offended if you open the door for her? That's ridiculous. Most girls love being spoiled.
Long hair is a plus.
The kiss on the hand, however, has always skeeved me out. It's too butt-kissy.

I don't like beards either. I prefer clean shaven men, and I like to keep myself clean shaven. Sometimes well-trimmed and well-groomed facial hair is O.K., but I would rather he be clean shaven. I prefer a man to be emaculate.
Too many damn beard-scratchers with their sloppy, scraggly beards that they have such a silly fetish for. It's not sharp.

I kiss my girl's hands. Then again, she kisses mine.
No, not in that creepy, bow-to-me-and-kiss-my-gold-ring-encrusted-fat-fingers way-- especially considering that I have freakishly slim fingers and only one (silver) ring.
And I have facial hair about half the time. It's like the tides-- I shave, my hair grows out, I trim it, it grows out, I shave it all off, and it starts over again.

That's alright if you and your partner like that; but when I was single and might've just met someone who tried to kiss my hand, I'd shrink away and think, "Ugh how disgustingly corny. Get off!"

Or, when someone you have just met gives you an overly "friendly" almost spooning hug.
