They're German Industrial Metal.

On topic, I'm not in a band but I have considered it. What bands would you say you're similar to or are big influences on your band?

However, I think you should draw from your own experiences rather than other peoples.

I don't remember there being clearly "Gothic Rock bands" in Russia when I was there. There are, I believe, some that are gothic in a less stereotypical way....in a russian way, namely. Are you Russian? Do you think there are Russian Gothic Rock bands and if so, what would be a good example for such?

I had a look at the Russian gothic homepage- they've got a comprehensive list of Russian and Ukranian goth bands. Some really promising industrial and ethereal stuff, though the Trad Goth is suffering in favour of a washed Ink/Suk style of folk-goth.
Check out the Russian Gothic homepage- run it through an online translator if necessary- and you should find plenty of stuff. I've lost all the info I had, as it was in the school archives for my Russian Project and not on my home computer.

They're not bad. They seem a little flattish to me. There's a definite sense of restrained passion in the sound.

I take back the flattish sound. It's not so much that it's flat. But there's some serious laid back/restrained passion there.

*looks bemused, then laughs until she´s rolling around on the floor* Oh gods, are you being serious? :o Everyone knows they´re from Germany... and whoever confuses their music with Goth should not call themselves as such, seriously, it being a musical subculture and all.

Anyway, back on topic...

When I was in Russia, the impression I got of any music not related to Classical music was not very good, I´m afraid. Me and the girls I shared hotel rooms with were always listening to this Russian metal/ alternative TV channel when we were in to see whether anything good came on, but it never did. In the end we left it on so we could amuse ourselves with making fun of it when we were bored. Yes, it was that bad.

It´s worse than bad; it´s laughable. Clichées abound, I couldn´t find a single riff that I liked and - um. I LOL- ed. But then, we do have a very good metal scene here in Norway, so I´m used to good players and new ideas.
