I'm gonna be honest here. This movie looks like it will only serve as eye candy. Much like every other movie being made these days since Michael Bay proved people will pay shitloads of money for half assed crap, as long as the effects are cool.
Dredd himself looks like a shitty actor, I saw no emotion, nothing in those scenes that remotely drew me into the character. That might be the point though. I also would be hoping that the helmet would have had a realistic redesign, rather than once again looking like some useless plastic helmet you buy your kids from the Walmart toy aisle.
I am however, intrigued on how the female characters will be portrayed in this. Will the rookie Judge be a helpless love interest, only able to pull off some bad ass moves before she is blown up? Will the villain be a strong female until Dredd puts her into her place? Off course I am jumping to conclusions prior to the movie even being out, but please, allow my skepticism on this one.
