PETA is rubbish and hurting it's own cause; challenging animal cruelty should not mean throwing women under the bus to promote their message, as they constantly have.

Them trying to push the envelope here has just made for a really sexist rapey ad that looks like an ad about domestic violence. Negative points for the panty shots, implications of her head smashing the wall/neck brace, and especially the charming phrase "knocked the bottom out of me".


I shouldn't be surprised really... but if anybody here fancies a bit of trolling, go nuts. PETA

PETA doesn't actually have anything to do with promoting animal welfare, it is just another organization out to make money. Just compare the number of animals that they receive and the number that they transfer and/or adopt out if you want to know just how they treat our fellow critters.

What I really hate about them is that when other organizations protest their tactics, like Friends Of Animals, they sue them. Its like the Susan G Komen of the animal rights charities.

And the fact that only 30% of the money they take in is actually used to help women w/ breast cancer and/or fund research.

ALSO: the biggest killer of women is Heart Disease, but no one knows that because SGK is spending all their money protecting their brand identity and slaping pink ribbons on KFC buckets.

That was probably one of the most infuriating bits, where they got the actress to smile at the end. Someone even commented 'it's not serious, getting her to smile at the end shows it's ok!'

PETA lost all credibility for me when they went up against museling. Their "Shaving the skin off a sheep's butt is cruel" message fell on deaf ears when someone actually put up an image of a sheep that had been flystruck. Pretty quickly made PETA look like idiots.

I mean seriously they are fighting for animal rights, and yet their message was it's better for a sheep to have a long, painful death by being eaten alive inside from maggots, rather than have a sore butt for a week?

And yes there are alternatives to museling.
