They formed in the early 80's, are from Scotland, and are mainly a hardcore/thrash political punk band. Their more recent albums are more metal influenced but still good. In the 80's they sang a lot about hating Margaret Thatcher which was brilliant. If you were to buy one cd of theirs I would recommend Let's Start A War or Horror Epics. Horror Epics is slightly more heavy but very good. I have a tattoo of their skull emblem on my shoulder blade that I got back in 1989, so I like them a whole lot. When I used to go to goth clubs it was really funny seeing people react to it, because you can't like hardcore and goth at the same time. ;-)

Hmm... Dually noted.

It brings the same reaction out of me every time too, reaching my most sensual side, leaving me sexually excited and sensually overflowed.

New Order - Sunrise

Probably the closest New Order have ever gotten to writing a straight-up goth-rock song.

Type O Negative `Black No.1` (its the shorter version, not the full length version as on the album, does anyone know if there was a version of that video for the full length song?).
BEOWULF: I miss the 1980s, too. Like any other decade, it had good & bad parts. Twister Sister & other Heavy Metal bands like them were among the good parts of the 1980s [for me, anyway]. And just like the Hessian kid in the video "We're Not Gonna Take It", at age 15, I used to jump on my bed & play air-guitar to their songs! one of a few things I care to remember about my childhood.

I wish I was born in '72 instead of '92. Most of the music I like is from the 80s.

Oh, hell yes. The song and the album. \m/

This requires another dose of some David Lee Roth.
