I really hate irony.

While I was living with my mom, and didn't have a girlfriend, I could get condoms pretty much anywhere.

Now that I'm living with my dad, and I have a girlfriend, I can't find condoms anywhere.

Gas stations? Nope.
Wal-Mart? Nope.
Drug store? Nope.
Pharmacy? Nope.
Various bathrooms? Nope.

It feels like I'm being cockblocked by capitalism.

BWAH? Really? None at the drug store? A lot of drug stores here started selling vibrators too.

What about Planned Parenthood? They usually give them out, you should definitely leave a donation for them though.

My area isn't big enough to warrant Planned Parenthood (or so they say). The local clinic supposedly hands them out, but they're on the other side of the valley I live in, and I lack a car.

I did end up finding condoms at the local pub's bathroom.

Damn. Whenever I go to Planned Parenthood they give me a huge sack of condoms that I never use. I ended up using most of them by blowing them up and taping them to my boyfriend's car while he was working.

Every prospectus that is sent to me, makes my decision, which university I decide to bless with my divine presence, even fucking harder. On one hand, Kingston has an excellent reputation in teaching, and is in London, on the other hand, Essex has a fantastic reputation in historical research, with most history lecturers specializing in exactly that.

Man, I saw something monumentally stupid today. I was taking the bus home from school today (because I couldn't be asked to drive today). They had an aids awareness campaign poster up on the bus. I see this 10 year old kid with his father looking at the poster. The kid then asks his father :"Dad, what's aids?" Dad replies :" It's a disease bobby, you can't get it , only faggots can."

I literally falcepalmed...

I hate having to divide holiday time between my family and Jake's, I also hate the fact that my mother doesn't understand that the fact that I want to spend thanksgiving down here doesn't mean that I love Jake's family more, just that I hate making a four hour drive all alone (since Jake has to work) to spend about 48 hours there and then make the drive back (again all alone) when Jake's family is less than half an hour away and I can go with him (he doesn't have to work until late afternoon so they are just having a really early Thanksgiving dinner). Plus if I am at all able to I will be spending a full two weeks home for Christmas so I'll still be able to spend a great deal of time with her and the rest of my family.

At least we more or less got everything sorted out with the car and she ended up agreeing to do what I wanted to do (list the car as garaged down here so I only need inspections that are required in this area) and she gave me power of attorney so that I can sign any necessary DMV forms and whatnot.
