I miss my old hometown even more right now. It's been ages since the last time I went. . .Riff Raff hit on me, as I recall.

And I second the wanting to shag whoever plays Frank. We were quite fortunate in that our Frank was really extraordinarily doable. Putting him in women's underwear merely made me want to tackle him even more.

I saw it performed live at my college & adored it! I've seen the movie, too, but I must say nothing beats the live audience participation (still very different from the movie audience participation). It was so much fun!!! My favorite song is Science Fiction Double Feature, and my second is Touch-A Touch-A Touch Me.

You have to see it in the proper venue to appreciate it. You must see it at 'official' events, with hundreds of other participants to appreciate it.

To compare it watching it at home and at the events is like comparing watching a sporting event at home on a small telly with being front row centre live at the same event.

You need a few hundred people in proper attire with the props and everything to truly appreciate the film. And yes, props are needed. If you don't leave covered in foam, beer, lotion, bog roll, and a list of other shite then you weren't at a proper venue.

Don't dream it, BE it...

I've seen it over 200 times, acted in it at the skywalk cinemas in Cincinnati (Chuckie). You HAVEN'T seen it until you've seen it WELL acted out.

If you are fortunate enough to have the ability to see it live, make a point of going. I still have friends from that show, and I was there when it came out.

I've always been a fan of RHPS, in fact, I've even seen it on stage. Apparently, I AM A SLUT.

The only way to really see this movie is to go to a re-enactment. It is the only way to truly get a grasp on it all.

And if you're a virgin, don't fucking hide it. Stand tall and stand proud. I shall always remember the flaming paddling.

I love RHPS, but I totally ruined it for myself in like, 8th grade. I would come home from school and watch it every day, and now whenever someone wants to watch it with me, I don't feel like it.

Before I destroyed it, though, I did see it live.

I remember when it was fun. Damn growing up. I used to play Magenta all the time.

It's a different movie when you watch it alone with no fun and games. It's... bad.

BUT

Not as bad as teh sequel. Shock Treatment.

I saw it like two days ago at a theatre. It was indeed an experience to remember. I can't say that I enjoyed the whole thing, but I gotwell more than the mere six dollars I paid at the door.

Of course ye got more.

I mean, this is a cult classic, that started the term 'cult classic'.

It was the first film to show gay, lesbian, and transgendered persons engaging in sex acts, orgies, and murder set to music.

It was the first film where audiences were encouraged to come dressed in scantily clad cross-gendered attire and act out sex scenes on stage at the same time throwing sex toys and simulated semen on each other while singing show tunes.

It's worth a good six fifty for that alone

I absolutely LOVE!!! Rocky Horror Picture Show I've seen a live theatrical version of it twice and I've seen the movie (on video and DVD) more than 100 times, I actually started to lose count at around 120 times.

Used to go see it all the time when I was in high school...I think I popped my cherry when I was 13. Loved it. Not really the same when viewed at home.

I would have loved to see the live stage version with Anthony Stewart Head as Frankenfurter though...I do love that man.

Oh ho ho, the drag queen guy.

They had a Rocky playing every weekend night down in Ocean Springs (I would visit an ex of mine in Mississippi), but it got shut down due to kiddy porn.

I think it's okay though, the participation in the audience blew, since people just went to dress up then loiter around the theatre smoking and vandalizing shit.

I can't remember how younger I was the first time I saw the movie, but I fell in love with it. I can't sit there and watch it day after day though because it would probably make the fun of it run dry. I haven't had a chance to see any of the live shows though, but my mom had sat around with me and talked about when she went to them though. I have the poster with Frank laying across the lips above my bed.

Shock treatment will never have what Rocky had.
But I don't think it's terrible.
It's a different sort of movie.
The music is pretty good.
