It's so fucking HOT

Every time I wake up at 3 AM, dehydrated and covered in sweat, I want to scream. Goddamn the Japanese summer, and goddamn the location and configuration of my apartment.

I guess I'm going to have to run the air conditioner ALL NIGHT in order to keep myself sane.

That doesn't sound very healthy. Maybe, if I concentrate hard enough, I might send the rain we've got here over to your place? I wouldn't mind exchanging weather conditions for a day or so.[/childish jokes]

You have my sympathies, as I've been struggling with that too. It's not even that warm during the day where I'm at, but at night it's so hot that it keeps me awake.

I hope it passes for you soon.

Thanks, but that would probably make the humidity worse. The Japanese rainy season is in June which makes the summer months ungodly muggy.

Instead of running the AC all night get some oscillating fans and arrange them around the room. Circulate the air and so on.

I think that I would be in much the same boat if not for my ceiling fan. Honey is right fans make a huge difference, especially when it is humid. I hope things cool off a bit for you.

The fans are a good idea. Also, if they don't help that much, you can get a bucket of ice and place the fan behind it so the air blows over the ice and is cooled down.

I have an oscillating fan, I don't really want to buy any more because then I have to find space to store them.

Last night the air outside didn't seem so warm, so I cracked the window and put the fan next to it and sleeping the whole night wasn't so bad. I still wanted to turn on the AC when I woke up, however.

A lot of times when I use the fan, it just seems like it's shifting around hot air.

enormous. I agree with you, but if you criticize someone's English, it helps to spell the words right.

Well if any of you live near Dallas, give me a ring. I am going to be bored out of my mind if I don't meet people quick!

The weather is getting to hot for me too. It makes me feel tired when the ac isn't going all day. Turning it on in the afternoon is too late.

My mini fan in my bedroom just pushes the old air out. Placing it in the middle of the room creates enough preasure but it gets annoying.
