I'm feeling really good right now, I had a nice long talk with my father, a better talk than I had ever hoped for in my entire life, a talk long overdue, got a lot off my chest, even came out of the closet about being a goth(I've done a good job of keeping is secret). Honestly I feel a lot better than I've felt in a long time.

Not a Dalai Lama fan, but this made me giggle. I can picture his assistant taking him into the store to pee and then say "Okay, you can get ONE treat while we're here."

I realize I might be interested in blogs about religious leaders doing very mundane things.

So, do you think his want for the candy will bring suffering to him?

My day , well night was made yesterday, by going to a big screen screening of Labyrinth. Seeing David Bowie's crotch supersize is full of win.

The evening was compered briefly by a guy dressed up reasonably convinvingly as Jareth, crotch padding included. We got given bubbles which we had to blow when the masqued ball scene came on, and a party popper for the end when she say's " You have no power over me "

All in all like a cross between a kids party and a Bowie drool fest. And we all dressed up in our masqued ball outfits. My friend and I were amongst the most elaborately dressed which felt oddly pleasing.

Aaand to top it all off I have now won 2 boxes of old vintage fur collars on fleabay. Too battered to wear as collars the seller says. Some are ripped ect the description noted. Welll holes can be sewn, and I shall see what's what when they arrive. A decent one may end up becoming my DIY cossack hat. The rest will go in the bag with the other vintage fur bits and bobs.

I'm not sure what to do with all these furs. There are old rabbit skins, bits of mink ( That reminds me I have a hat to deconstruct) and soon the contents of these boxes ( mink, rabbit and fox if I recall )

I guess I could have a go at making a colossal patchwork blanket. Just sew the lot to a base blanket to make one huge sheet of multi coloured multi textured cosy.

I can make catnip mice for my brother's kities with any cutoffs and scraps...

Ooh, catnip mice made of real fur sounds like delightful torture! But is the skin is thin enough to allow the scent of the 'nip through?

To be fair many of the cheapest furry catnip mice are made from real fur, usually rabbit in fact. You only have to feel it. They're cutoff scraps from the meat and fur trade I believe.

Yes in rabbit at any rate the skin is certainly thin enough, but I always prick the finished mouse all over with a thick-ish needle to allow the scent to penetrate.

I stuff the mice with scraps of sheeps wool I pick off fences round the fields, any clumps of hair that fall off when trimming up fur scraps ( I get loads ) and a shitload of dried catnip which I have to buy, because I can't seem to make the stuff grow and thrive. I have a slight black thumb of doom with some plants . They usually get a thin furry strip or a leather strip for a long tail , sometimes with a fur bobble on the end for extra fun.

I don't put eyes or anything on them in case they get ripped off and swallowed so any kitty recipients will in fact recieve blind mice!

Invariably fur ends up everywhere after a while but it's fun to see stoned out kitties. My brother's oldest cat turns into a dribbling mess when I give him one :P

I find myself incredibly surprised that I would be interested in that too.

What's making my day is that I'm still totally stoked about last night =) Mr. Kitty + I went to his work party and they had kick ass raffle prizes! He bought a butt-load of tickets and we hauled like pirates!

Today I've been having fun getting my iPod shuffle set up and playing around with iTunes. Hopefully in a little while I can go out with the Kitten so she can buy Daddy a pressie with her own cash.

My mom got me sencha and a nice teacup with a infuser and lid. I haven't made any yet, but I keep opening the tin so I can smell it. I can't wait to try it in the morning.

I got other stuff for Christmas, but good green tea is really hard to find around here.

Seeing a car graffitied with "Cock Piss Partridge" in town.

I mean, if you're gonna be feral little shite, it's nice to know it doesn't HAVE to mean sacrificing taste, is all.

Bought a new skirt today and it's a size smaller than I have been wearing. Perhaps it's the sizing is generous from that particular brand but I don't care, it made me feel like less of a fat cow.

What made my day...hmm...I think I'm still working on that actually.
I think there was this moment of clarity I had today, and I wrote a song. Didn't quite grasp the moment, but I liked the song, which is a rarity.
