What's you use for the red? If it's Special Effects, did you have to bleach beforehand?
Superficial business aside, welcome aboard! For new music, I suggest Hungry Eye/Strobelight/Mutant Transmissions/Skin Graft/In The Night Time Records.
As for you being in high school, ever try cafes and music stores on your days off and also pdxgoth.com?

In high school and you spelled Edgar's middle name correctly; better than some who are older than you, I am impressed!
Welcome!

Hi! Ooh, you listed Edgar Allan Poe as one of your favorite authors, one of mine too, but I forgot to put him in my list. I really got into his stories in middle school.
Ooh, you like Within Temptation too! Cool! My daughter and I got to meet them when they played here last summer. They're really, really nice.
It's nice to meet you!

The Mask of the Red Death was amazingly creepy, one of my favorites too. I also loved The Pit and the Pendulum and The Cask of Amontillado.

I'd also be interested in this! Some of Ray Bradbury's stuff is pretty creepy, but he doesn't come close to Poe. I'm pretty limited in my knowledge of macabre fiction, because I write young adult fantasy, therefore it's about all I read. But I've always been interested in dark and spooky fiction. Even if it does keep me up all night for a week!

I read that in high school. It disturbed me, and parts of it still haunt me!
Okay, for me there is no "scared from time to time." With me, it's red-eyed terrified up-all-night crazy because I haven't slept in days because some ghost will come out of my TV as soon as I close my eyes, it's not just a story, it's freaking real and don't ever come near me with a rated-R horror movie or any really scary books or I will die.
Although I do crave that now and then. I don't know why because it turns me into a crazy person for a few days.

Okay, sounds cool! I have lived in a haunted house before - maybe that's why I get scared so easily. Whatever was in that house was evil. And there are weird things that go on from time to time in our house now, some relatively benign, some downright creepy.

I bestow upon thee the great and terrible literary works of the balsphemer Howard Phillips Lovecraft. Peruse them at your discretion.

I'm particularly fond of "The Rats In the Walls" and "Cool Air".

You misspelled Mr. Poe's name. He hated his middle name. He never used it; he'd sign things "Edgar A. Poe."
