Boo, 'tis meh...

So this is where I've ended up after one of my latest interwebular jaunts. Hello, nice to meet you, to meet you nice, yadda yadda. So I'll just get stuck in with the status quo, which I'm sorta weary of having read some of the other introductory threads >.>

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I regularly practise karate at which I'm currently ranked 6th kyu, will be going for fifth this weekend - provided I can find my license (lost it ages ago).

2. Where are you from?
I'm from Scotland, born and bred.

3. Who is your favorite author?
Favourite author, tough one as I don't read books too often, I'll start one but never get into it, maybe I just chose bad books. Read alot of plays though.

4. What are your favorite films?
Again, a tough one, between an ever changing taste and a comparatively narrow selection to those who have been around longer than me... Do like the Alien trilogy though (didn't like resurrection).

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
Never really considered getting married, I couldn't let someone go through marrying me. But for the purpose of this, Tchaikovsky would be nice, maybe a bit of Bach - the traditional wedding diddy just doesn't quite cut it.

6. At your funeral?
I've always been more partial to being cremated. Not sure what music though (for a memorial type thingme), maybe none, don't want people to be sad though.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Seppukku has always been appealing.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
Some sort of elaborate Gothic style urn, it's too early in my life to be thinking about such things.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Now we're talking, something I've put a marginal amount of thought into. Starting from the feet up, my all black converse all stars, black combat jeans, my fading () black Disney hoody with a dragon on the front complete with a calligraphic D. To complete the outfit, my black wonderfully eccentric coachman's coat.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Being patronised less, as I've "grown up" I seem to be patronised more and more, especially in my final year of school (this year).

11. What's your favorite band?
This changes alot, but at the moment probably the Clash.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
Well I'm in my final year of Secondary school, and I'm hoping to go on to study Acting, but if that doesn't come to be, philosophy might be a possibility.

13. Why did you join?
Stumbled across a thread and the community seemed like a nice one (though I'm open to be proved wrong :P) so I thought I'd delve further into it's depths.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Male.

How wonderfully verbose that last answer was, I now eagerly await your cutting criticisms.

Wolfie reads, he just reads plays. Slings and arrows, slings and arrows.

Welcome Wolfie! May I call you Wolfie?

Welcome.
Looking around before posting your intro thread was a smart move.

The Clash and Classical music, I like your style.

Enjoy your stay.

I do read, as HumanePain said it's just normally plays - I'm a bit of a drama geek that way.

I'd rather you didn't call me Wolfie, I have a friend that goes by that pseudonym, Mac, Wolf, MW, hell you can even use my nickname (Dippy) if you must.

Yeah, I've been around long enough to learn that you can't just jump in feet first anywhere on the net.

I'm glad someone does! I all too often get criticised because my taste doesn't fit in with local preferences, ie. the Red Hot Chilli Peppers or Muse, I like one or two of their songs, just not the ones that all sound the same.

There's just so many great quotes in the alien films, "Did IQs drop sharply while I was away?" and "What are we supposed to use, man? Harsh language?" etc.

You know, that's very true. People are a lot less considerate of your feelings, the older you get. Eventually, it will go down again with old age... That's an interesting point you've made for me to think about.

By the way, are you a furry? (I'm one, so don't feel shy) If not, never mind and take no offense. Welcome to the boards!

I used to be a furry. I even played Furcadia until I got a Mac. I also got to college so I had no more time for online RPG. But, I enjoyed my time nonetheless.

If you don't mind answering, how does one get into being a furry? Obviously you just like it, but how do you go about engaging in it?

Well, there are many ways of being a furry, but the definitions are loose and may be open for debate. Being a furry can range from having a liking to erotic anthropomorphic (sp?) artwork, to engaging in sex while dressed kinkily as an 'anthro' to roleplaying on the internet as an 'anthro'.

Furcadia was/is one such online community where you download a simple 8-bit program, chose an avatar to your liking and navigated it around several main areas. These areas had 'dreams' or rather places that were made by other players and uploaded into the furcadia server. You entered these through 'portals' that manifested themselves in the main areas as fountains of light emanating from the ground. Now, you go by the rules of the owner of the 'dream', and roleplayed through text you typed in the text area of the program.

My description is kind of vague, and I'm sorry for the threadstarter for hijacking his thread, but for a clearer picture go to www.furcadia.com.

And a furry is a person who has a fetish and/or inclination toward anthropomorphism.

Glad you asked cause I didn't have a clue, and it's possibly still a bit vague. But Draconysius I can't say I am, and I rarely take offense, most things will just bounce off me.
