I still find fault in an adult only thread. I mean, there are countless underage people here who laugh when you say the word butt. But then there are others, people like Ambi, or me, who can handle, understand, and most likely relate to certain issues, questions, and statements in the "adult thread." I find it sort of discriminating against myself and others like me, that we would be cast out simply because of something we can not control. Plus, what is your definition of kids? Not to be a rude bitch or anything, but I have seen and been through many things that "kids" should not have to deal with. I have but one question, Should we not exclude people based on what they, themselves can truly handle, and not by simple numbers?

unfortunatly, kids are exoposed to a lot more than adults like to think I was in second grade by the time I found out what sex was then probably knew what all of the toys and anything else most people think kids dont know about by the time I was in 8th grade. still I do think adult only threads should be there due to the fact that most kids do not completely grasp all aspects of sex expecaly (spelling sorry) bondage. so bring them on

As I'm mentally 12, I can fully understand Joy's pov.. I would be slightly off put by the idea that even though I react to every experience as an adult I'm barred from a particular room all of the sudden due solely to my age. I would feel I had earned the right to play ball with the big boys because I had shown the level of maturity that the others my age lacked which directly or indirectly brought about the said restricted area.
But..
I could also see the necessity of said room...

You know, I understand the bigger discussion going on here, but I was really fine with it when edible_eye made the suggestion that I was walking too close to the line for his comfort.

I'm not sure how much we can debate the age apropriateness of content when maturity varies so much from person to person. I'm also not keen on observing an arbitrary number as a standard - the legal age of consent in the US is 18. I can't tell you how many 16 year olds are sexually active, but it's a lot. It seems silly in a way to tell them, okay kiddies, look away now ... you might see a naked BUTT! (That was for Joy and Xng)

Anyway, as I said, I was okay with the direction I received. With the exception of a few neanderthals that scrape their nuckles this way from time to time, this is a pretty decent bunch of people.

A friendly comment from time to time from a mod or another member should be enough to usually maintain a commonly acceptable standard. This issue has been dealt with in a mature way, without requiring an adults only area or policing of ages.

petitioning a minor for sex will get you in trouble. advice is a gray area, especially if trouble is generated from any advice given.

I say we carry on as EE suggested using our common sense about what we say to whom and taking a little extra care with what pictures are posted. Nothing really needs to change beyond that until such a time as the owners of the site say so or we get in trouble.

It's not that hard to figure out that this isn't really a site oriented for kids and responsible parents should be able to identify such. We already have good rules in place and even those of us that act immature all the time know where the line is. Those that don't will get handed their asses by members and edited by the mods.

End of line.

I was roommates with an escort for a while ... and I got introduced to so many men (and a few women) who were willing to pay for it. I can understand that under certain circumstances (such as the fetish issue Xng mentions or in the case of people who genuinely do not want long term emotional attachments) then it probably is a good option.

If they are married or committed to a monogamous relationship, then it's the same thing as cheating and should be treated in the same way. If they are single or in an open relationship, I don't really have a problem with it.

However, I've never paid for it myself and never will. I just couldn't get aroused knowing that the reason my partner was doing it with me was because of money and no direct interest in me as a person.

I've never paid for sex - at least not directly. You know there's the old: "Sure honey. I'll do the dishes but it's going to cost you

" I'm not sure if that counts but it's a great way to get rewarded for work you were going to have to do anyways. I recommend everyone try it.

Um... if I had a ton of cash, though, I'd pay for all kinds of things I wouldn't pay for now - not even necissarilly for me. I was watching Cathouse:The Series on HBO and a couple went to the 'Ranch and paid for the wife to have sex with their favorite porn star while he watched. I might be tempted to do something like that.

What constitutes pornography? Is it nudity or sexually explicit material? And what exactly makes something sexually explicit? Courts can't even agree on this.

I'm a member and merchant at a website called renderosity, where the subject of pornography comes up and is debated a lot. The site has rather specific rules on it, but those rules tend to get updated a lot, which sparks a lot of heated debates. Mostly it centers around 3rd party content created for use in 3d apps like Poser, 3dsmax, maya, etc. It deals a lot with the human body, and most content created by the artists there is for use on human figures. Clothing, hair, skin textures, etc. The site gets banned a lot from the work place and schools because all though it is digitally created content, a lot of people consider it to still be pornographic. Can you really call cartoons pornographic? Should teens be prevented from working with these programs and 3rd party contents because it exposes them to digitally rendered nudity?
