I'm trying to mimic Mac OS X using KDE and Baghira.

It's a work in progress.

Desktop
This is my desktop, featuring one of the wallpapers I've made. Apologies for the text, it was a small unfinished poem of mine yet the font is somewhat illegible due to image compression.

Very nice. Did you use some special program to edit the icons, or was that a photo effect, or something else? They look really good blended in with the background colors.

Does anyone know a site that I may upload my wallpapers to that's not slow as hell like Photobucket? And free? >.< I have like 30 kickass wallpapers out of over a thousand from my random wallpaper searching sprees... Anyways, would like to share, but I can't really link them.

I created mine. It took 24-ish hours to render.

I use a Mac computer so I have one of those swirly blue screen thingys because my dad won't let me change it. But when I had a PC in my room I used this:

I'm a big Sailor Moon fan, so I usually have one of Naoko Takeuchi's coloured illustrations. I change them monthly.
This is my current one.
From a few months ago.
This one didn't cover the whole of the desktop, but i thought it was pretty.

And you know... this reminds me.... anybody working on any aero glass desktops for vista? I'd be overjoyed for a 3d background with nice dark colors and the ability to add pics, etc! Since vista will be slowing down PCs 22% for the 3d desktops we may as well have nice images on them!

I've been trying stuff with the Vista RCs. I'm not sure I like them too terribly much, or the effects. If I had the cash to get a fairly decent PC to run all of the effects, I'd take it, but since I don't....
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=32701 is the one I have right now.

I currently have http://www.artrenewal.org/asp/database/image.asp?id=772 on my desktop, but I have a whole folder full of art picts, and I change it every once in a while.
