Fashion DIY tips and gratuitous plugs. And hair. Hair! Flow it, show it. Wait...no. That's some hippie musical. Nevermind. |

Camo jacket..
I have had this USMC Camouflage Jacket for some time, and recently decided that I think it'd be great with some alterations. The problem is that I have no idea what to do with it, or what I can do, for that matter. I'm very lost.
Any ideas? HELP!
(I seem to be having difficulties getting the picture up. I'll post it as soon as I can.)

Once the picture is up I'll see if I can think of anything.

Pewter buttons and some topstitched zippers for a bondage look?

Those tend to be pretty wide, don't they? I often find that guys in fitted jackets look good. Depending on your body type, you could take it in a little, perhaps, and add some cool badges or something on it...

There's these squares where the elbows would be. Remove those and replace them with black fishnet material. Maybe remove some of the pockets for a more rugged kind of pocket.
I used to wear these every day. Not much can be done with them. Add some lace at the end of the sleeves to make it look romantic. Actually, if I were you, stay away from gothic ideas and try to go punk with it.
Good luck anyway. Sorry, I got nothin' when it comes to military uniforms.

Whether it be Gothic or Punk, I really don't care. I was leaning towards more punkish ideas for it anyways. I just want to find SOMETHING I can do to it.

I'm pretty damn skinny. Try like 6'0" and 140 lbs.

Oooooooh.
I love camouflage jackets.
You can basically add anything you want to the back of it. Make it your own personal billboard with safety pins.

OOh, lace up the back!
I love when people do unexpected things like that. Everyone expects a camo jacket to be rugged & torn, so make it elegant!
