You Shakespeare Lovers Should Rethink it All

Seriously though, how can you support, or worse, enjoy a dramatist who indulges in hate-speech, as evidenced in the following passages from the Most Lamentable Tragedie of Titus Andronicus, as it was Plaide by the Right Honourable Moe:

Give us the proudest drummer of the Goths,
That we may boo his set, and for a while
Ad manes fratrum ridicule his mesh...

And later,

Jeez, lord and father, how he perform'd in
his flamin' tights: Alarbus' drums are popp'd,
His audience feeds his ashamèd fire,
Their boos most incensed doth make him cry...

Perhaps this hatemongering ‘bard’ isn’t all that he’s coked up to be.

When you are a respected critic, or a writer who's writings have lasted five hundred years, then I'll pay attention.

Even if you think you're funny, you're going to back away from the Bard right now, or get my parasol upside your head.

Gee, guys, I try to do a favor for some people and look at the thanks I get. I hope you can live with yourselves after realizing on your own that the English language's "greatest" gift was a chemically-altered fraud.

Here's the real scoop: as has become painfully obvious over the centuries, every word alleged to have been written by Billy boy was actually Francis Bacon's labors. Lost are the lurid tales of Shakespeare's tempestuous slavery for the damned drugs that consumed his life. Someone didn't want Shakespeare to be caught with his pants down and a straw up his nose. That's the real mystery.

Don't believe me? I was there.

You were there as much as Aphra Behn was there for Oroonoko.

On that note, guess who she based his life on?
I can't believe you had to select this shit to figure out that I meant myself.
For the still-skeptical among you, they didn't call him Shakespeare for nothing. Whenever he was cokeless, the fucker did one hell of a dance.
Also he liked pears.

Whatever you say, Lord Beelzebub.

And I wouldn't have a clue as to whom she based the story of Oroonoko off.

You cad, you.
No one seems to be paying enough attention to the fact that the two passages were doctored to make my point that Bill 'the Bard' Shaxper was a closed-minded goth-basher. This isn't about racism or anti-Semitism. It's about booing a drummer just because he looks different.

Sad, really.

What, can't read black on black? Way to ruin an otherwise fantastic joke, if I do say so myself. And I do.

The attention was paid and then ignored because your thread is dog squirts- but the altered topics of Rascism, Anti-Semitism, Nationalism and gender switch and bias in the works of Shakespeare and Marlowe are actually rather fascinating.

But you are a twatwaffle.

I like waffles. Do twatwaffles taste anything like the regular variety?

I believe that he is another incarnate of Sprite, the facetious genius who prefers to take pots shots at others or try to start conflicts sheerly to boost his Libido, so he's more of a twatwaffle than you might expect.

Just letting you know my hunch.

Enjoying your latest pejorative.
