Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL.

Depressive Black

Xasthur, Austere, Ode, Nocturnal Depression etc. Any fans?

I'm starting to listen to a lot of it, I like really dark music. Plus, some of the slow DBM sounds almost like Doom Metal, which is my first love (music-wise).

Nortt.

'nuff.
Fucking.
Said.
Bee-yotch.

Well, not really, there's other bands too, but Nortt was the first I heard. I might think he's shit now, been a while since I listened, but it blew me away at the time.

Bethlehem is rather good.. albeit it bizarre. check out Moëvöt... not really anything impressive, but probably the most mood lowering band I've ever heard.

I prefer Doom/Death by far though. It's just a bit more accessible than most Depressive Black Metal.

Xasthur is about it for me, though Shining and Abyssic Hate are good as well.

I love Doom. Any of the subgenres are great, but My Dying Bride, according to WMP, is my most listened to band
