The Orange Box
Does anybody here play this game for the Xbox 360?
The graphics are superb, and the story well put together. Sure wish it included the original Half-Life 1. That would have been cracking. Lol!
I found it to be nice and challenging at the "hard" difficulty level. However; I wish it was a little bit harder.
The only people I knew who played it, only had the Steam copy for the PC.
They said they enjoyed it. I see no reason if you are 14 and up, why you shouldn't play the whole thing at the hardest difficulty level.

I only played Portal, Team Fortress doesn't seem to be my thing and I haven't played the original Half Life either. Portal was easily one of the best games I ever played, can't wait for the sequel.

Yeah! Portal kicks ass! I can't really imagine a better Portal game, they did an excellent job of the first one. Maybe a continuation like the HL2 series which uses the same engine.

As far as I've heard its not going to be exactly the same, its not just more puzzles. As long as GLaDOS makes a comeback I'll be happy.
Hopefully it'll last a bit longer too.

From what I've heard there will be no GLaDOS.
There will however be a supercomputer that aids you with the personality of Aperture Science's founder.
Portal easily ties in with Half Life.
The ship that's to appear in Ep3 was Aperture Science property.
And it supposedly "disappeared" along with half the dock.

This was a triumph!
I'm making a note here:
"huge success!!"
It's hard to overstate
My satisfaction.
Aperture science:
We do what me must
Because we can.
For the good of all of us.
Except the ones who are dead.
But there's no sense crying
Over every mistake.
You just keep on trying
Till you run out of cake.
And the science gets done.
And you make a neat gun
For the people who are
Still alive.
I'm not even angry...
I'm being so sincere right now-
Even though you broke my heart,
And killed me.
And tore me to pieces.
And threw every piece into a fire.
As they burned it hurt because
I was so happy for you!
Now, these points of data
Make a beautiful line.
And we're out of beta.
We're releasing on time!
So i'm glad i got burned-
Think of all the things we learned-
For the people who are
Still alive.
Go ahead and leave me...
I think i'd prefer to stay inside...
Maybe you'll find someone else
To help you?
Maybe black mesa?
That was a joke! haha!! fat chance!!
Anyway this cake is great!
It's so delicious and moist!
Look at me: still talking
When there's science to do!
When i look out there,
It makes me glad i love you.
I've experiments to run.
There is research to be done.
On the people who are
Still alive.
And believe me i am
Still alive.
I'm doing science and i'm
Still alive.
I feel fantastic and i'm
Still alive.
While you're dying i'll be
Still alive.
And when you're dead i will be
Still alive.
Still alive.
Still alive.
That's Aperture Science's Founder.... In my eyes.

Opteron, don't talk about Orange Box as if it's one game. It's THREE different games. You can't say the Orange Box was hard or a good game, because it wasn't. Now if you want to talk about the games specifically, then say so, don't just say "Orange Box this" and "Orange Box that," make it "Portal; TF2; HL2."
On that note, TF2 is my favorite game EVAR. I played TFC when I was a kid, and I have been playing TF2 since it came out (though only at opportune times when I have been on break from college and at home to play). I have not been on this forum, in fact, because I have been playing so many video games since my break started, but mostly TF2. It's so entertaining.

Yes dude, I got that! I should have been specific. And I said I wish it was a little harder. Well I thought HL2 and Portal was superb. Haven't dug into the other games yet.

There are only 3 games, so you haven't gotten into just one yet (which is by far the best, but I am biased). Portal was good, but I never finished it. Something about fighting talking guns bothered me on a deeper level, so I quit playing. TF2 is really good for multiplayer gaming, and it's funny as hell. Valve has a sense of humor (the sniper class recently acquired the new item Jarate: piss in a jar that you throw at people). Really light-hearted fun, unless you're playing with serious people. I like playing with Ventrilo communities because you can bond with other players and enjoy it more.

I sure hope they keep the storylines separate, though, and keep the tie-ins limited to just passing mentions of Black Mesa and Aperture Science. If HL2:EP3 becomes the bastard child of Portal and Half Life, I'm going to be pissed.

Likewise, for portal 2 I just want crazier ways to run around random levels with obstacles using only the portal gun and picking up sex cubes or whatever they are called.

I actually saw TF2 as the best game. Even though bright and cartoony isn't my thing, I can't help but enjoy the life and color Valve put into each class rather than just faceless guys shooting at each other. Portal was also cool, it's like the tetris of the 21st century.
