This is a bit of who we are....
Hello everybody...
It's a pleasure to know that the cornerstone of the Goth Pantheon, the literary tradition, is still alive...
I am Marc...the editor for Seraphemera Books...we are an indie publishing house in Houston Texas.
We call ourselves a "Gothique Boutique" publisher....we produce handmade books and handmade journals...The Romanti-Goth A to Z Coloring Book, the goth-yet-whimsical comic book Polyglot & Spleen, new writer chapbooks and more...
Feel free to visit our website (which I can't post here because I am new)...but a quick Google of Seraphemera Books will discover our little realm.
There you can learn more about us and maybe submit a work for publishing....

I don't know whether this should stay here or be moved to the shill section, but nevertheless it is good to see publishers taking a look at this site and I hope they notice some of the diamonds in the rough that hide in the literature section.

it isn't a shill
Actually, we signed up to be an active part of the site, not just an advertisement.
So, as this is the introduction section, it would be nice to keep our introduction, here.
Thanks.

Oh, okay. Then if you wish to actively participate, would you like to please answer the questions here:
https://www.gothic.net/boards/showthread.php?t=1644
It's usually what members do to let people know a little about ourselves and make us seem less faceless. If you are many people then it'd be at least nice for one person to fill the questions out.

the basics....
Thanks for the point in the right direction.
I'll answer these for me (Marc) and I'll get at least one other person to post as well.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
By day: Data Recovery technician
By Night: writing
2. Where are you from?
Originally Stamford CT (now in Houston TX)
3. Who is your favorite author?
Hermann Hesse
4. What are your favorite films?
Wings of Desire, Moulin Rouge, Nobody Loves Me (Doris Dorrie)
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
Can my band play? That way I don't have to talk to guests.
6. At your funeral?
Can my band play without me? Missing wing formation.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
For something, not from something
8. What kind of casket would you want?
A nice pine box will suffice
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Anything with which i can wear a jabot
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
I try to keep most of these things active. Although, being able to buy from the lower-priced menu would be nice.
I still color all the time - which is why we made a goth coloring book
11. What's your favorite band?
Ex-Voto
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
Double major in Anthropology and Theatre. It just took four different schools and seven years. But it included a brilliant trip to India to study at a Tibetan University
13. Why did you join?
Because I believe in bookcases and protecting the right to read
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Male

Welcome, and especially for not being one of the nameless spam-advertisers that sign for boards and post one-liners until they get banned. It's great that you're going to be a part of the site as well as drum up some awareness.

much obliged
Thanks for the kind words...
I understand the initial thought that we were just throwing advertising into the wind - so, my apologies...
It is impressive and refreshing to see such an active presence on the boards.
Looking forward to reading through the literature, responding to the boards, and realizing some conversation in a realm of like-literary-minded folks.
