Yes, stay. If everyone who made a bad start left immediately this place would be empty. I'd have left years ago.
If after a while you still dont think you're wanted, then you can choose to bugger off, but at least give it a chance.

Telling people to change blatantly asks for conformity.

Both of those suggestions are really superficial in the end.
