I think it is a touching idea, that way you can always have your loved one with you (person or pet), without the obvious problems of carrying around an urn or a body. Though the price seems a bit steep, but that seems to be a combination of the forming of the gem as well as the cost of the gold and other stones (which looks like a good amount of diamonds and I assume they used 24k gold so the price really isn't all that far off)

Or you could go all Keith Richards and cut your cat with some blow and snort them up.

Meh... I can see this, especially for the people that keep the pet ashes or get a pet burial lot (which is really not that uncommon, especially nowadays when people don't allways have a backyard to bury fluffy in).
In many years, while my cats start getting to the end of thier lives, I might consider this.

I have to agree that this is disgusting. Creepy even. You are wearing ashes on your finger. I personaly would NEVER want to do that.

It's an interesting idea, though not one for me. I don't think I could hang on to someone/somepet in that way.
Edit: I'm inclined to think that as long as I had the ring, I wouldn't be able to get over the death of whoever's ashes they were. I'd have to move on or I'd flounder.
A black diamond, on the other hand... *looks wishful*

Black rose, actually I was referring to the guy snorting his cat up his nose. The ring is strange enough, that that is just weird.

Keith Richards wrote in an interview a few months back that after his fathers funeral he took his fathers ashes cut them with coke and snorted them with Ozzy.

Or you could do like they do in Australia, and make hats out of them. There's this guy who takes the cat skin, makes a hat, leaving the tail down the back and puts the head and paws on the front.

Ed Gein would have liked that. I think he did that to his neighbors.

I've actually heard about this. Some dude turning his wife into a diamond or something. I dunno it was a long time ago.
I don't think I would ever have the money to do such a thing like that. I've been told by some dude who's into gems and how they are made and he said it was really expensive but they turn out flawless.
And anyways I already have her paw print tattooed on my arm.

There are a few companies that do that now. How creepy would it be to have your dead wife turned into a diamond...that you give to you new wife as a wedding ring.

That sounds almost poetic.
And she better be worth the price of this flawless diamond.
