We were newbies, true. We read the rules, and we did what the rules said, so we gave no reason to anyone to be mean.

Now please be a good little newbie, read "For the Newbies! Yes, that means you!" thread, than go to the Introductions forum, read the rules about how to introduce yourself properly, and follow those rules.
