Pants plainess help

So I have these black pants, and well if you knew me you'd know I just can't leave a plain pair of pants alone. So I put burgundy lace all along the sides in a corset kinda manner but they still look sort of plain to me.
What are some ideas, and they have to be practical and do able.

Maybe get some fabric paint and paint a design onto the top of one of the legs.

Actually, I would probably make a smallish kind of asymmetrical skirt thing around the waist.

to keep with the corset pant theme you could cut a slit down the back of the bottom of each leg and add eyelets then lace those up with matching ribbon of the color you used. Also decorating belt loops is fun as is adding a design to the back pocket.

Use a large piece of lace (or even a tabletop paper lace) as a stencil on some areas of the pants and dab the fabric paint on to it, then peel or the lace off and VOILA! Lace print on your pants!

I've done it with my airbrushes for a friend that wanted the "fade in or out" look. After that, topstiched on some zippers in diagonal directions.

I never heard any complaints from her.

That's why stencils are awesome. It's easier to draw and cut than to paint.

Even crosses and spiderweb stencils would look total kick-ass too. Skulls and crossbones are quite popular these days. ok, I'll shut up now.
