I stopped watching (never read the manga) after it just became a penis measuring contest between L and Light.
I think he lives in the live action.

I love Trinity Blood, Kuroshitsuji, and Hellsing. They have really good plot lines, not to mention a couple of characters

I was disappointed with Ouran, it started off hilarious because it was making fun of shojo, then it went in a direction where I wasn't so sure it was making fun anymore, but it still had a lot of laughs, and then it went all serious business. I think it tricked me into watching a actual shojo instead of a parody.
And that episode where Kyoya pretends he's going to r@pe Haruhi to make a point that she's weak and needs to ask for help still makes me scratch my head.

If it wasn't for Elfen Lied, I would say that you had bad taste.
Monster, Elfen Lied, When They Cry (FUCKEN AWESOME!!), and Air.

God, I still haven't gotten the courage to watch the second season of When They Cry. Is it as scary as the first?

If by that, you mean the where they're on an island (When The Seagulls Cry (or something like that)), I've only read part of the manga.
It's creepier, mostly because of the schizophrenic little girl.

Schizophrenia is just scary period. I walk home from school and it never fails that I run into this lady who suffers from schizophrenia and she always yells at me. I just walk away really fast. As for my favorite anime I'm gonna be a total nerd and say that I like Wolf's Rain and Chrono Crusade.

Nah, the second season started after the arc where Rena went nuts and took the school hostage, and Rika realized Keiichi can remember the previous arcs. I haven't read the manga yet, so I dunno how the order goes.

^I don't think anything happens afterwards, and if anything did, I didn't see it.
But I think it did end after Rena took the school hostage.
On a somewhat related subject, did you know they already have a PSP game out?:

Its under the name Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, although I always saw it online as referred to season 2. It covers the solution arcs from the original game. There's another season or series after that too, only its short apparently.
Well, it originated as a PC game and then expanded to the PS2 and DS. I'd love to get it on the DS.

Do any of those make mass murder look adorable? No.
I would be interested in the games, unfortunately video games murdered America's family, so they'll never arrive here unless I order through eBay but then I have an assload of complications concerning that, such as not understanding Japanese and not knowing how to install a patch.

There might be fansubs online though, I'm not sure about the legality about it with video games but hey, its an option.

Ghost in the Shell and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.
I also love Inuyasha, not because it's oh my god awesome, but because of its sentimental value. lol But the new season is pretty good, actually.

Well, does Manga count? I don't watch Anime very much anymore... Well, my favorite anime would probably be Neon Genesis Evangelion or Serial Experiments Lain. Although, I haven't watched either of them in what feels like forever.
Some of my favorite manga are MPD Psycho, Berserk, Monster, Franken Fran and Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service.

Inuyasha is okay, just overrated. My favorite anime series were probably everything I saw on Cartoon Network about a year ago- haven't had it since back then, and been too poor to go buy any videos.
