Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Emilie Autumn...
Now that's a lovely singer!
I wonder, though, if she suffers from some form of bi-polar disorder or some form of personality misidentification (ever hear "I Want My Innocence Back")?
Nah, I'm just playing--she seems like a wonderfully down-to-earth type person, judging by her interviews. But, ah, I'm rambling--anyway, yes, Emilie Autumn... she's the Jimi Hendrix of Violins and quite a talented little soul. I hope she goes even farther with her music... I want no shortage of her pleasantly insane tunes.

Sryinge and Unlaced are her best examples for her violin displays.

She's crazy with the violin!
Yes! Unlaced was INSANE. I couldn't believe this woman could play that damn fast on a fiddle. It's because of her I want to learn the violin too, and have a strange obsession with blood red hair and victorian curls and fashion....
She's also a wonderful poet. I loved her song "Shallot."
I also like "Dead Is the New Alive...." I so want that played at my funeral when I die someday.

I agree. I love those songs as well. Right now, my favourite song would be " I Know Where You Sleep. "
She is my reason I want to learn to play the violin as well.

Wow, we're very alike. It's scary. xD
I also like "I Know Where You Sleep," just because I found the song so delightfully funny. I also LOVE "Marry Me" because of the humor and sarcasm Emilie utilizes in it.

Oh. " Marry Me " makes me laugh everytime.
" Then I break a glass and I slit my most inner most thigh, so that I can pretend that I'm menstra.....well unavaible. "
Well, something like that. XD Heh. I love how she can make giving a blowjob sound elegant.
" When dinning on peacock, I know I won't sallow"
I love " Thank God I'm Pretty " as well. That makes me laugh as well.

Yes, the lyrics to "Marry Me" and "Thank God I'm Pretty" were hysterical in my opinion. I also loved that whole "1-2-3, 1-2-3" waltz she had going on in the song. It made it unbelievably catchy.

She herself annoys me but I like classical style music so I can't help but enjoy the songs.

I know, I'm dying to go to a live show. The only reason she tours in Europe is because, as opposed to America, it has a large gothic subculture there.
Basically, she gets better business in Europe. xD

Yeah, I know that. But it doesn't mean that she can't come over here as well.
I don't like her attitude on that though. She seems to have this need for attention and fame. So, she will only go to a place where she will get it. What she needs to understand is that she has fans over here in the U.S. as well.

Yeah, I completely agree with you. But what can we do? Not much....
Perhaps she'll start touring in the US sometime in the future. We can only hope she'll recognize her American fans as well and actually give us a concert or two. But, like everything else in this world, there's no way of telling whether or not she will.

Mother fuck.
Rachel from Cruxshadows is WAY damn cooler.
I'm still all emotional about her departing CXS. *sniffles*

Goshy Joshy I just love it when you talk dirty with Mother Hump. Muhah.
I have to be honest, she is a very beautiful singer; with well-written and lined poetry. But I have gotten into her work...Hmhh..And the violin stuff is always nice.

Oh my, she's leaving? Well, that's not good. =(
Then again, I suppose I don't really find it too upsetting. I like the Cruxshadows, don't get me wrong, but I could never really get into their music. No offense to you--I don't mean to piss anybody off by saying that. So, I apologize if I did.
I was a lot more upset when Nightwish fired poor Tarja and replaced her with Anette--I don't like her voice, I think it's too pop rocky for a band like theirs.

I adore Emilie, she's very talented, and also one of my favorite female singing voices.

Do you have any idea as to why she is leaving? I really enjoyed watching her. I don't think she was given enough credit for what she did. Jessica seems to always be in the spot light. There are more pictures of her, she's the model on all their albums, you hear voice when she sings. I like Jessica, but I believe that she needs to back down and give the rest of the girls the attention they deserve. Are Rouge and her getting married? I think I heard that somewhere.....
