Slipknot is the shit...in small doses. Korn is the shit...in small doses. However, since you pose the question of me having to choose between one of the two, my choice would be Korn, no contest. Especially when they collaborate with hip-hop artists. They've recently done shit with Dem Franchise Boyz, beating the shit out of the collab they did with Nas. I just got done BLASTING THE FUCK out of the amalgamation of "Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It" and "Coming Undone". Hell, as a matter of fact, I'm playing it right now. In my opinion, it's the illest collaboration done in history.

Hmmmm interesting thread...whose original poster does not really scream....IQ.
Anyway back to the question at hand, both I guess. I only ever bought one album of each though and never was really into them heavily. But it provided a nice bit of chill out music, so it was full of R&B influences, and the rap was quite bad, but meh I did like them for a time =/ and I guess I still do a bit.
Though this music has never interested me fully though, well not enough to fully invest greatly into it. I prefer my power metal, and my industrial more =P.

I never was really *that much* into nu-metal, not enough to actually go out and buy a CD...but when my friend's got CDs and lets me burn copies, it's well worth taking the time to burn.
The type of rock I really like is the power-alternative stuff, like Orgy. My fave song right now is "Fiction (Dreams In Digital)"...good shit. Reminds me of back when I was like, 9 or 10...I would go into the basement, where my sister kept the radio. I would turn it on, and start jamming the hell out to the station she was listening to earlier. Sometimes we'd both start jamming and thrashing around for the hell of it...it's not like we had anything else to do.

I think Kittie are awesome.
I used to love Slipknot, but I grew out of it. Became to juvenile and angsty for me really. I'll still listen to it but only if I'm at my boyfriends house or a party. I still like Vermilion.
Never really listened to Korn..

I do not like either. I like Vermillion pt. 2 (Bloodstone Mix) though by Slipknot. But that's about it.

Ok, first put, No band that makes it mainstream is terrible. They would never get the attention if that was the case.
I used to be one of the biggest Slipknot fans. And I still ocassionaly listen to their music. Most of Subliminal verses is crap though, and I stick to the S/T and Iowa albums. Korn is pretty sick too, but the See you on the other side album is too nu-metally for me.
That being said, I prefer Slipknot more. KoRn has some great songs to go to bed to, though.
But I think I'll stick to Skinny Puppy, Wumpscut, Covenant, etc.
