Wait.
What do you think the goth style is?
Tight pants and big boots, and DIY, incorporating victorian elements?
Or do you think it's tripp pants with t-shirts with "witty sayings"? Pretty much everything in hot topic.

You didnt answer my question. I need to evaluate if you should check out a raver site instead.

Just look around the site. By the way, I'm as curious as Maggot is on your perspective of 'goth'.
Maybe it turns up that the style you like is not the gothic one, but the spookykid one.

Yeah, that means go to a raver website.
A graver website at least.
That's not what goth is.
You like the spookykid fashion.

Vampirefreaks.com
I don't recommend it, though, as it's been spawning quite a few mass murderers, recently.

Haha, listen to Maggot, but don't be taking notes on what he says to you. Although I have the same opinions, I'm not sending you to a spookykid site.
Trust me, you don't want to be a spookykid.

I limit goth to mainly an umbrella term for music.
It's hard to 'go goth' if you don't like gothic music. Sure, you can acquire a test for the music, but if it turns up you don't like it, that doesn't mean you're forbidden to enjoy gothic things.
Just be you and try to taste some bands and see if it ends up being your thing.
I recommend you to listen to at least one song by these bands to see if you like them:
The Cruxshadows (darkwave)
The Cure (traditional gothic music)
Bauhaus (it's a must!)
Christian Death (deathrock)
Specimen (batcave)
The Sisters of Mercy (post-punk)
Cinema Strange (awesome band from the deathrock revival)

Dude, the Cruxshadows suck.
Darkwave sucks.
It's the worst bastardization of industrial since new school EBM.
Listen to Nitzer Ebb, that's old school EBM. Get the album Body of Work. It's a "best of" of sorts. Also listen to Test Dept. [oldschool industrial] I especially recommend their album The Unnacceptable Faces of Freedom. If you don't like Test Dept., listen to the album Haus Der Luge by Einsturzende Neubauten.
Laibach, too. They're anthemic industrial.

NO! For your own good, don't EVER say "Monson" and "goth" in the same sentence again...
Oh, and hi!
