Ooh, I have another one... A member map! I didn't see a link for one.

If you don't know what I mean, it's a world map that the various members can place a "pin" on. That pin would be located where they live (city) and have their name attached, though the pin wouldn't tell the name unless clicked on. It's pretty cool just to see where everyone is, even if you don't know who it is, across the globe.

I don't know where to get one, but I can look into it if you all want.

Oh, and maybe a forum that's for religious topics, and nothing else?

We need to instate the member list first.

A character map in the advanced reply screen for those characters in other languages that have accents or tildes and what not.

It would save us having to google something just so I can copy and paste just one or two letters...

(Third on the "member map"... that would be pretty awesome!)

This is why I keep an ASCII table bookmarked

I just change keyboard layouts to do that. I enter this into a terminal on Linux to type in Spanish:
setxkbmap es
and to get back to American layout:
setxkbmap us
It works well. XD

Someone beat me to my post.
How can someone be so willfully ignorant of his own site?
There have been enough requests for self-government by more than worthy members (not necessarily including myself).
There have been more than enough amiable requests, and still have been ignored.
I have seen some activity, but it's apparently not enough.

Good idea, Becky. I think they may check what's happening on this site atleast once a week, so you never know, it could be saturday. Also, if the site admins are going to get some new mods, can there be some kind of nomination (With explinations) for us to do to make suggestions to who would be a good moderator?

Agreed, good for you Becky.

Hey Admin people,
There is a need for enforced government, and that requires monitoring. You have willing, loyal applicants start using them!

There are potentially harmful things going on here, that is an issue, you people have the power to fix it so please do so.

Agreed. Give some of the more senior users some mod power. Those that have been here for years, contributed to the conversations on this site, and have proven themselves worthy of enforcing the rules. We need some active moderators.

Becky/Ingis: Active mods would be a blessing.

Jillian: We should be able to delete our posts, they are after all, our posts. However, in certain situations this might not always be viable so my suggestion is that there should be active mods who can delete posts based on requests.

I understand. I was just worried that you wanted to delete all your posts and leave, in which case, I would try to stop you.

One, you are a mind reader. I'm just more of a lurker now than a poster. Second, can you blame me, considering all the threads that have popped up lately?

Cyber the user above you

Boob names

Let's overreact!

Say something terrible about the poster above you

Lets be assholes.

I made the last one up. In any case, I stand agape. And you are right, posting to such threads just slows down the process of them dying away. Yet their are too many people here who enjoy that sort of thing.

Awesome. Thanks Becky. I'll try that and I'm going to make a new account called, sup3rm3gaA$$h0le and i'm going to fuck all and sundry. Not that, that would be constructive, but I have'nt seen alot here lately that could be construed as such so it would fit right in.

You do all have the power to moderate. All reported posts are evaluated and frequently removed in a fairly timely period. Posts that are not reported do sometimes slip by for a bit, but more aggressive moderation also seemed to get complaints.

If they do not do anything because they are too busy to check this forum and my e-mails, then they are negligent. If they allow these kinds of threads in an all ages forum, then it (depending on region) is criminal.

I do not believe they would allow this is they were aware. I may not really liek the admins, but they aren't the kinds of people who would allow this.

Becky, it seems like you talk about objectionable content a great deal more than there actually seems to be objectionable content on this site. What exactly is your goal? The actual moderators are now unseen, since the ones that are/were listed seemed to get attacked by trolls a lot. That however does not mean that there are none. It is true that they are sometimes not quite as active, but then again the moderation is pretty fair and stays in the realm of policy, rather than personal politics and power tripping.

If you see posts that you feel are inappropriate, report them.

With all due respect, don't you think that we'd report objectionable topics/posts more often if we were aware of mod/admin actions (against the objectionable topics/posts in question)? Seriously, would you, if you were a member of some other forum, use the "report" option if you believed that the mods/admins didn't give two turds about the forums?

I have e-mailed the admins on this issue already.

If nothing is done within 24 hours, I will contact IINI myself. The admins are not, of course, promoting these kinds of threads, but they DO need to be more diligent in monitoring... MODERATING... for this shit. On an all-ages board, there needs to be active administration and mods for this kind of behavior.
All images were adjusted a long time ago to not even be shown inline in posts. They are all off site and any post containing a link to an objectionable image should be reported. We could disable all image linking as well, but frankly, this is the internet. Sometimes some bozo is going to post goatse. There are currently 13,513 posts in the picture post thread alone. If nobody reports it and it isn't even displayed on this site, I'm not really sure your calls to the FBI, FCC, IINI, or whatever seem like a totally reasonable rational response. Also, you've already been banned from this site, so it's hard to be totally sympathetic to your 'alarming' issues.
