The Cold Chills

Sometimes when a movie or song is just right sometimes I get a great feeling cold chill. The light, sound, and mood just makes me feel...I don't know exactly how to describe it.

Also, has anyone noticed that in modern films there is sometimes a bass "boom" that will come from no where. It is usually in western films I think. I know it must have something to do with effecting the mood of the audience, can anyone explain it better?
