I'd love a ferret but mother won't allow it. I used to see a guy walking his big white ferret/Polecat down the street when I used to get the bus home from my old workplace ^__^

I'm packing to go home for a weekend and that includes bringing groceries out, last time I was home (and that was a year and a half ago) mom had not one thing at the house that didn't have animal in it, I subsided on rice and popcorn that I brought out myself >.> so this time I'm going prepared. Hope she likes my curry and chickpea cutlets.
And my god, I could NOT get rid of this cough all last night or this morning, and I tried every medicine in the house, Buckley's (and that shit makes me retch, I was very desperate), Tylenol, Halls, Fisherman's Friend, some no name stuff, it did nothing, and just then I had green tea and now I'm doing okay. Sooooo I'm bringing a huge stash of tea with me.

I highly recommend local, raw honey.. especially if it has bee pollen and propolis in it as well.
When the bee guy came in with a shipment (at my old job), I asked him about his bees.. most local bee farmers treat their bees very well. If I remember correctly Saya, you're completely vegan.. but you could always ask about local honey, if that would ever be an option.

No, I don't eat honey, and even if I wasn't vegan I always hated it. Green tea is doing wonders for me actually. I was coughing the whole trip in, and when I got in and made tea, I'm completely fine now. My throat doesn't even hurt, I'm just going to keep the pot ready at night.
Besides, I swear Newfoundland is the worst place ever for eating local (weeeeeelll I suppose Labrador and the northern territories have it a lot worse), for reasons I can write a book about, there's only one organic farm nearby (there's I think three or four on the island in total, but the rest are pretty far away) and they really don't grow much variety. My roommate's parents have a huge greenhouse though, can't wait for strawberries to come in :3 They always give us free fruits and veggies in the summer and fall, its awesome. They specifically saved us a carrot once because it looked like Cthulu.

The cool thing about local honey, is that it can help with allergies. Works for me.. when I think to do it.

Honey doesn't actually have any medicinal purpose except keeping skin soft. It is nice with lemon salt water in the summer, because it helps the rehydrating solution go down a bit easier.

Do You shop at a grocery store called Whole Foods? If you don't, you should. I think you will love their stuff.

I used to work for a local health food store, and am familiar with WholeFoods. I go there for lunch when I'm at school, and get my stuff marked off. Heehee.

I don't care for sushi.
I'm craving kombucha.. oh man. I'd probably kill for a cranberry Synergy right about now.

I've never been impressed with their sushi. I guess I'm just spoiled when it comes to sushi and theirs seems kind of average, the salad bar is killer though.

We had the Tofurky Feast thing today, it was good, the tofurky itself tasted good but I'm really not big on meat substitutes anyway, so I didn't end up eating much. But what was REALLY good was the cranberry apple potato dumplings that came with it, holy shit they are delicious, I need to find a recipe to make my own.

....And then pass that recipe right along to here.
I went shopping today and bought a heap of food packets that I have never tried before and I have no idea how I am going to cook them but I strongly believe tonight will be green Thai curry + coconut milk + tofu + Chicken nibblets & vegetarian Samosas/Spring Rolls on the side. All in all a most appetizing meal.

I just cooked a dish that is:
caramelized onions
habanero peppers
mango puree
mushrooms
sugar snap peas
diced chicken
soy sauce
a little dash of sweet & sour mix
and served over wild rice.
Food:
Seal of approval? I'm so rude, taking pictures of people while they're eating.
