Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Gothic Death Metal Love song
So I've been trying to find a good dark song for my mistress and I for the past few weeks and I'm having trouble finding the perfect dark love song to be "our song." Would anyone happen to have any suggestions?

Surely "our song" isn't something you try and find, it just happens naturally?

Yeah, I was thinking HIM, but you're right, it's not couple music. Although 'Arms of Rain' and 'The Foreboding Sense of Impending Happiness' aren't deirected at only girls.
Ooo, what about 'We Own the Night' by The 69 Eyes?

Now that I think about it, there really aren't many Gothic/Death/Black/Metal songs for couples are there??

Listen to music together, this isn't something you can force, it is an organic process that unfolds like an iris in the early summer.

The words "Gothic Death Metal Love Song" being used in that manner in one sentence, just caused the death of about three thousand kittens worldwide.
You should be ashamed. Well, wait, nah. You're clearly an idiot.

Is there even such a thing as a "Death-metal Love-song"? I figured it would be oxymoronic like a "Christian Black-metal band". Unless this love includes chainsaws... hmmm....

There is actually Christian Black Metal, but they call it "un-Black Metal"...
But yea, kind of an oxymoron.

ok let me make it clearer: Dark Love songs. Like H.I.M. but for both people. trust me, im not all about love metal. I'm an all-around metal person. Live and die for the sake of metal and Mr. Poe, the master of the gothic poetry elements.

Rod Steward is pretty good but he's not what I'm looking for. He's not dark love.

The darkest of love. He is Rod Stewart. He sold his soul to make music when he has passed his prime. It does not get that much darker.

I'm pretty sure both Un-black Metal and White Metal are used.
I feel that by principle only songs by bands that combine gothic metal and death metal should be suggested. If not, Lovesong by The Cure kicks then shades of ass, I probably would've already used it if I weren't the awful asocial monster that I am.

Well... Mostly anything by Type O Negative will do. Try "I know you're fucking someone else", for instance.

It's called both. White Metal is the even more retarded term.

Maybe you could pick a band that doesn't sing in Englsih, and pretend they're singing romantic things? I find Eluveitie songs to be incredibly romantic, but I have no idea what they're about.
How about "Can you imagine words" by Dope Stars Inc?

Death Metal. Difficult to masturbate to, not impossible...
Also, yea, anything Paradise Lost is pretty hardcore win.
