That sucks! I've had mono before, and I was laid up for a whole month because of it. You'll find someone, sweetie... Just don't look for anyone. That's how you'll meet the right one.

Oh believe me I know the theory behind it.
It's just that underneath my charming veneer of arrogance lurk some very deeply imbedded confidence issues. I basically don't reach out to people, which makes me more or less limited to the ones I know already.
For serious now I spent 3 years at university without so much as learning the name of another student on my course (I lie, I knew one name but that's another story that doesn't go anywhere).
And from what I gather if I can't make friends at university I'm sure as hell not going to make them anywhere else. EXCEPT THE INTERNET.

Oh I did.
But hypothetically if you were a fellow-student of mine, unless you owned an xbox with a paid live subscription and all the Black Ops DLC, know where to get decent bud at reasonable prices, or seem like you might put out, the chances of me ever actually calling you up to hang out are minimal. And even then you'd probably need to match at least two of those three criteria to make it a regular thing.
