I know an author I know you'll like. Francesca Lia Block. And also Amelia Atwater-Rhodes.

If you don't know them yet, check them out!
From my own introduction thread:

3. Who is your favorite author?

I have none.

Having a favourite author isn't necessary to being a good writer.

no. there arent any poets i love the most. i like poems not authors.and yes i like to read. but who knows? maybe i suck at writing poems but not novels, that i'm sure. i just like to express what i feel and i dont need to have a favorite author to write.

Xnguela - You mentioned Tamora Peirce. She was my favourite author in primary school. I've kind of outgrown her now but I still think that all her books were really well written and I always loved the little fantasy world she had created. I kind of miss it.
I love Amelia-Atwater Rhodes when I'm looking for a quick read but I've never heard of Francesca Lia Block - what has she written?

Welcome Bloody Thoughts - sorry but I couldn't be bothered writing out all the x's

Ahh…

I’m think of Roger Taylor’s “Foreign Sand” while I read this thread

Why do we fear what we don't understand
Can't we reach out our hands to try to just say hello
Try to plant a seed - fulfil the need
To make it grow - just say hello

Having a favourite author isn't necessary to being a good writer.
But I do have some favorite poets amongst our Clandestine Collective.

*poke*

Hello welcome!
I was wondering what sort of stories do you write? I'm just curious. I like to know I'm not the only one self-concious about writing

Oh ok. I was just wondering. I probably ought to browse the Literature section instead of heckling you about what you write.
Anyways enjoy your time here
