Massive Missive

I may be sticking around for a while this time.

1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)

I enjoy art, but I find that doing nothing is easier and cleaner. I read quite a bit, I watch TV quite a bit, and I don't watch movies often. Sometimes I play darts. I stabbed my own forehead with a dart last time.

I work at a West Marine Express (marine supplies) store.

2. Where are you from?

I was born in Houston, TX. I've lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina; The Woodlands, Texas; Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia; and here-- the northwestern tip of Washington state.

3. Who is your favorite author?

Ernest Hemingway. I enjoy most of Stephen King's books and stories. Ray Bradbury is amazing, as are the Dune books. Chuck Palahniuk is exceptional.

4. What are your favorite films?

Unforgiven, The Green Mile, Forrest Gump, all Monty Python movies, a few comedies. I saw Children of Men the other day and thought it was quite good.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?

I'm not the only party involved in that decision, am I?

6. At your funeral?

Dirt in the Ground by Tom Waits.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?

In a non-embarrassing manner.

8. What kind of casket would you want?

A memorable one.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?

Bah. Recently, I've ended up wearing the same t-shirt (white, with a rather poor print of a carved wooden jaguar on it and the words "Artecampo: Artesania Crucena del Campo" on it) and Levis quite often.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?

I don't miss being a little kid. I'm happier than I've ever been.

11. What's your favorite band?

16 Horsepower and Woven Hand, followed by Tom Waits and possibly Jay Munly. A few of the remainder: Slim Cessna's Auto Club, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Interpol, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Modest Mouse, Reverend Horton Heat, Soundgarden, El-P, Aesop Rock, David Bowie, Kaizers Orchestra, Combichrist, Massive Attack, ZZ Top, She Wants Revenge, Dr. Octagon, Marilyn Manson, Panzer AG, Nine Inch Nails, The Handsome Family.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?

I'll be senior in high school come next school year. I have no idea what my major will be-- I've considered liberal arts/humanities. The only hard science that really interests me is physics. Law or business aren't out of the question.

13. Why did you join?

Originally, to get to know people with similar interests. I've since drifted away from the subculture, but I'm still here for the people. My last hiatus came about when Super Spright was banned-- I'm still having trouble getting engaged with the site with him and most of the original members gone.

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Male

Welcome again to g-net. By the way, I will also be a senior in high school next year. I really do not look forward to it, but finally my sister will be in high school as well. Also, I know most of your favorite authors

Welcome back CircleV. Good to read your posts again. And She Wants Revenge Rocks! ("Sister" is my favorite!)

"Sister," "Monologue," and "Out of Control" are the best ones I can think of. Any idea if they have a new album in the works?

It's quite strange to come back after a few months and find half a dozen new members with more posts than I.

I should add Nietzsche to my favorite authors. I've spent more time reading his books than anyone else's.
