So if in fact there's a way to make cake without both milk and eggs, a vegan could conceivably eat cake. It'd be terribly dry, though, I think.

It's not too hard to make a vegan cake; you can use applesauce or flaxseed paste or any one of a number of things to keep it moist. There are entire cookbooks devoted to vegan desserts.

Some of them even taste decent.

Vegan cakes are easy with an egg replacement. You can even make vegan 'cheesecakes' by replacing almost every single ingredient with a replacement.

There's a vegan chocolate shop in the city that specialises in vegan chocolate cakes. Apparently they border on heavenly, though I have yet to try one.

Yeah...still, fuck veganism. I'd never want that again. I tried it, and I love meat. I can't get enough of it. I just love the feeling of my teeth ripping through animal flesh, the juices running down my face, and my saliva washing over it, making it taste even better.

But tofu's nice, too.

I have a lot of respect for vegans, but I could never do it myself. I can't survive without milk and milk products. Blue Ribbon icecream is a part of my soul >_>

I don't mind vegans myself as long as they're not of the "people who eat meat are the devil" set. I could never be one, though, I love meat and other animal products too much. I'd feel like a hypocrite too, seeing as things like mylar are made from animal products.

I don't really have "a lot of respect for vegans." I mean, I don't respect them any less for it, but not any more.

I mean, yeah, they're eating a stricter diet, but it's because they want to. Like, I really respect you for eating something you made yourself that you really enjoy. Uh, no. Cool and all, but doesn't really deserve respect.

Imma start a vegan thread, because I want to understand what's the point of it without hijacking this thread.

"I'm not a vegeterian because I love animals, its just that I REALLY hate plants..." - The Lizardman

Wow this thread got way off topic. That said, I'm vegeterian and am attemtping to transition to vegan. I have a kick ass easy recipe for a vegan cake that involves a can of soda and no animal products what so ever. If there's any requests I can post it. No reasons for my lack of meat eating other than I just don't like it that much, so I don't eat it.

Oh for crissakes this is just going too fucking far. You guys are sounding like a bunch of preps going around saying "oh well I can beat her up". It sounds like the plot for one of those crappy movies where they pit two teams of cheerleaders against each other, or a Linsey Lohan Movie.

You guys? Point me in the direction where it was ALL of us who were threatening to beat each other up and not just one person?
Don't stick me to her level, thanks.

Renatus, you know Miss Ophelia doesn't mean it, not really. It was said in jest.

Some nasty old lady wearing a Dale Ernhardt shirt and a button up cardigan: "I would take her to dog fight."

My reply: "Why, you afraid I'd see ya lose?"

Damn, I love one-upping old ladies like that.

For real, it was a goddamned joke. You people are either even more serious than I thought, or idiots.
I don't know where she is. If I did, how could I get there? And why would me being taller give me such a huge advantage?!
Obviously. It was. A joke.

Someone gave me the classic "Going to a funeral?" line yesterday. Seeing as I was standing in line for lunch and couldn't think of anything better at the time I replied, "Why yes. Wanna come with me?"

Once, while wearing my infamous cape, a markedly forward, boisterous young woman approached me and asked, without so much as a "Hey", like some investigative journalist or something, "Excuse me, excuse me! Why do you wear a cape?"
To which I replied, "what cape?"
You all should have seen her face.

I got the "Getting ready for Halloween?" remark from my mother-in-law, then she told me my hair looked like a bad weave from the dollar store. I just looked at her like she was retarded, but next time I'll just ask if I could borrow that pubic-hair looking wig she wears sometimes. Hopefully that will shut her up.

Hm...I got "Are you a nun?" from a guy in town yesterday...

I was wearing my long satin skirt with a petticoat and my muff... Look out, the nuns are going to party!

I just get stares followed by "holy shit did you see that" as if I'm an animal in a zoo.
Apparently I'm not even a "her" I'm just a "that"

Today, some guy at my school yelled after me "Morticia, do you speak French?".

It was so funny.

Here are three. (I don't go out much)

"So, what times the funeral?" -girly girl slut
Me: "It's over already. To bad, you missed it.

"Can I see your wrists?" -my classmate
Me: "Sure." *shows wrists with NO scars*

"Nice Halloween costume. To bad Halloween ended 7 months ago."
Me: "Everyday is Halloween for me." *mysterious, dark, fake voice.*

Here's one that was more of a question. The person meant no harm...I think.

"So, are you into Satanism? You know, rituals and stuff?"-cashier dude
Me: "Sure, that's why I'm buying these black candles." *sarcastic*
cashier dude: "Really?"
Me: "No! They're for my Mom's Halloween party!"

That's all I can really remember, but I there have been some more. Mostly my cousins, friends, and classmates.

This girl always calls me an emo when I walk by...It's gotten pretty annoying. Luckily, she left her purse out by accident the other day so I poured out all of her foul smelling paris hilton and Brittany spears perfum.
