Skirts

God, I make a lot of threads in here. :o

Anyway. Skirts. Like these ones.

Do any of you guys wear these? I've never seen anyone wearing one, but I love the look of them.

I've never worn a skirt or dress in my life (I hate looking girly) and even though I'm a girl, wearing a skirt would make me feel... wrong, or dirty, somehow, like I'm betraying my very strong tomboy side. But these ones just look like trenchcoats with the top half removed, and I adore them. They're not girly at all. With a pair of black cargo pants under them they'd work great.

*Another* item of clothing now added to my ever-expanding collection of ideas to create.

What do you think of them? Daft or cool?

I've owned a skirt like that... It mysteriously disappeared one day, and my friend that slept over claimed to have had nothing to do with it. Goddamn, it was comfortable. Nice in the summertime, too... I don't like wearing shorts, so I usually wear skirts instead.

I'm looking at some basic skirt patterns in google images. It's really just like a CD cut in half, isn't it? A half circle of fabric (radius being the height from my ankle to my waist) with a half circle cut out the middle. Has anyone got a simple skirt pattern they could send me just to see the basic shape?

I bet you could find a basic black skirt, a little similar to one of them & cusomise it.

I found just a plain, long black skirt in an Argos Additions catalogue which looked like one of those minus the belts & pockets.

Those do look like the bottom halfs of trench coats. One time, I saw a pict of some "One-legged pants" from the hot topic web site, and these kind of remind me of them, but these ones are wider. I thought it was hillarious, though, that they called them "One-legged pants" instead of skirts...

I really like guys who are girly looking and girly things, but I just don't like skirts on guys.

Oh I've seen some women and guys getting around in them here, but its not common, though.
