You don't have to look like anything in particular to be a goth lad. It's your interest in the music that generally lumps you in as a goth . You can dance about in a fucking frilly pink tutu if you like.

I've seen less from people claiming to be goths, and yet they're right.

Hey, I'm not gonna be an elitist with you.
You don't look anything special, but sure, what you're wearing kinda looks goth. You look a little - just a tiny bit - like Tim Burton. And also a smidgen of Robert Smith. That's probably a compliment to you.

Yeah, you look kinda goth; but do you know what goth is?
If you think Alien Sex Fiend and deathrock, and not Tim Burton and victorian clothing, and you still choose to dress like that; then hey, you're a goth.

Personally, however, you're lacking a lot in style and I like looking good. Not looking good for goths; just looking good overall. You can look more stylish (without wasting a lot of money, mind you. DIY) in a goth way, or you can look more stylish in a non-goth way, but it's always good advice to look more stylish.

I *just* noticed there is more than one picture.

Ok, I like your biker jacket. Very nice.

Other than that, and your hair....not really. I mean, you're wearing light blue cotton pullovers and the like.

It's ok though. It's whats inside that counts.

That thread gave me a chance to do a goth research weee
Well I just searched a bit with the words "goth men" etc.

So, look at the pictures here from the following links. Look all of them.

http://leipzig-seiten.de/index.php?o...tur&Itemid=267

http://anarchystuntpilot.blogspot.co...h-my-goth.html

http://www.wave-gotik-treffen.de/eng...337&total=7896

Yeah not all of the men in these pics are handsome, but I'm pointing them for their clothing style.
Do you look like those people?
Maybe you don't like it, maybe you do, but that's what I would call goth.

Fashion has maybe half to do with the LEGIT Gothic scene.

If you listen to the music corresponding to the scene, you're pretty considered Goth right then and there.
If you ENJOY the music, whole heartdly, then your Gothic.

As for your current Fashion, I say I saw a spark of Goth...just a spark.
You feel different because you're expressing/exploring who you want to be. Sure, that give you a taste of
the culture, but it's still sort of far off.

I'm honestly 3-4 years new to the Scene..still learning. Once I got a taste for the Music, couldn't really stop myself.

Fashion again doesn't really matter, but a lot of fashion can give off impressions of Goth, or the lower chained cultures that've basterdized the scene.
So I suppose Fashion has a good share of how the Scene works, but only a chunck.

I usually just wear a Bauhaus shirt/FOTN/Big Electric Cat t-shirt, arm nets, and a pair of plain blue jeans. With, the stereotypical hair dyed Black..sometimes a white split T to go over the other shirts.

Just be who you are, and explore your tastes. If you're truley into Goth, you'll find your way to it.

i like gothic, of all styles but ,if you are imaginative and can take me into the ephemeral...then i am usually interested, i like the key, you would look beautiful with eyeliner...it's a bit of a fetish for me and i also like sexy boots on men......it is nice to be able to be recognized for who you are on the inside...if you like egypt express it............if you like cats or dragons express that too...the nice thing about being gothic is you are exempt from following trends and being a carbon copy person instead of an individual...and individuality is freedom.

P.S. If you think this is annoying you're probably using the internet in 1024x768 resolution. You lose.

Some words of advice... find your asthetic.. and go for it.

You look like any other kid.. and there's nothing wrong with that. There are plenty of us parading around, fitting in with the scenery.

If you want to be recognized... you'll need to work on it. I getting on google image, search goth and do some comparison.

You look like someone into the Gothic scene, but who hasn't been into it long, and so you haven't had time to gather a "Gothic" wadrobe yet. But you'll get there. I find the best way to express yourself through clothes is to get dressed listening to music - then it all comes naturally

Faded blue jeans, a black denim vest, and maybe some kind of deathrock/goth rock band tee would look way more goth than what you're sporting. But in honesty, you look not quite like a complete tool. So, you're fine. I really wouldn't change anything much. Just go with what feels natural to you. You don't have to impress anyone.

Much more my style.

Interesting on the WGT site, As much hating as I see on tripp pants, I see a few bold ones rocking them. Anyway, I'd better stop looking before I get all lonely feelings. Cant find a decent goth chick wherever the hell i go.
