Is Your State Offically In Recession?
Mine is. There are very few that aren't and I'm curious as to how things are going for everyone else economically. My dad's bank was bought out a while back, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, as it just is, but it does show how much banks are struggling at the moment. Then his business was only doing okay before this economic crisis.
Also, if you don't know, you can always look it up on Google. It's very quick.

Florida has been in a recession ever since the Spaniards abandoned it in 1819. Of course, we have a few beaches decorated with empty high rises and buffeted by hurricanes; but who would ever dream of leaving this wonderful swampland? Recession is the marrow of Florida.

Here in Michigan, we are definitely in a recession. However, no one really wants to admit it!

Well, I haven't checked. I know that it's very hard to find a job in KY and if you have an education it's kind of the kiss of death. But if you don't have an education, you're kinda screwed as well.
Right now, I know I'm facing a hard time getting a place to live while trying to go to school but also having to deal with the fact that getting a place requires work but to work, one needs a place. It's almost a catch 22.

Eh... I'm not the only one in this boat. Yeah, I could get a job... but to live in my city you need a roommate and a full time job to live anywhere decent and convenient.
Problem is, I don't see how I can manage being a full time student and full time worker. *shrugs* I'll figure something out I'm sure.

Virginia is in a "near recession" basically we would be doing alright if there hadn't been so much real estate speculation

Would thousands of jobs lost in the last 6 months count as a recession?
