"Sorry I'm late, I got lost. Do you know how hard it is to fly with a calico bag around your neck to carry the tea? Well it's mighty hard. Now, I've got Lady Earl Gray, Vanilla, green tea, Green tea with vanilla, Green tea with green tea... oh puppies!! I love puppies!! Hey BB, can you make the tea, I've got to play with the puppies!!'

I've always been partial to Jasmine green tea when I have it. Thanks Fruity.

Okay Acharis, I just stopped by the herb garden and picked some fresh mint. We shall have mint tea, oh and some lemongrass and here is your jasmine tea...
While we sit and drink our tea, let me tell you the tale of a Doberman, who would let toddlers swing on his back, and who used to have a disagreement with a duck, but never hurt the duck in anyway. People would cross the road when he was out on a walk, because he looked scary, but he was the most placid dog.
MissA - I'd love to meet your dog. He looks so sweet.

YAY! Tea with friends?!? It must be my birthday! I'll take some green tea, plain.
I miss living in a house where there are dogs. When I was growing up we always had lots of pets, including dogs. The one we had the longest was this adorable spaniel/boston terrier mix. He was such a sweetie, he put up with so much teasing and he was always down for a good cuddle. It was a sad day when my folks had to put him down, he was all of 16 years old. I still have stuff he chewed holes in, at the time I was pretty annoyed about the hole-chewing, now it seems like there's all that's left of him.

Aww,
Hope this helps.
I know the feeling. I had a purebred Springer Spaniel named Dude (yes, that was his name ) when I was a kid from the time I was eight until I moved at the age of twelve from Alaska down to Texas. He used to love playing with a Madball (the eye) we found in clearance bin at a Kay-b-toys. Strangely enough, the other day I was clearing out one of my old foot lockers full of childhood mementos and there was the Madball with my old Snoopy doll that I'd caught Dude chewing on a few times. Weird how memories from 20 years ago can just pop up from the most random things.

Wait, there's jasmine AND mint? And my mouth is full of cookies.
I'll sip the beverages delicately through each nostril so I don't mix the flavours.

Archaris - just jump in there, and have the tea and the biscuits. You know life is for living, not for sitting on the sidelines.
Thanks for the tea BB. Wow Alaska to Texas, now that would be a huge climatic difference. How on earth did you handle it?
Ape I used to own a beagle who grew up with cats. The beagle used to try and climb trees. don't think anyone ever told him he wasn't a cat.... Plus the two of them used to play chase in the back yard. Round and round in circles, dog would chase cat, then cat would chase dog.
*sips on tea*

Didn't really notice it to be honest since we moved in the spring time and drove from Washington State down the West coast and through the Southwest. It took about two weeks for the road trip.

Sounds like an awesome beagle.
Thanks for the tea, BB.
I brought a giant box of assorted fuzzy pants, since were having cookies and tea. There's nothing quite like fuzzy pants, 'cept maybe fuzzy shirts.

Speaking of fuzzy things, a friend brought some feetie pajamas the other day. They're awesome, black and have skulls all over them, and of course they didn't fit me. Buuut the upside is that they fit my wife, so I guess that's ok, cause she looks cuter in them than I tend to. So I'm takin' it as a win.

Ape: She sounds adorable.

She is the very epitome of adorableness. I hope she wears them xmas morning, that would be just the cutest thing EVAR!!
BTW got some Abuelita (best hot coco evar) I'll make some up for Acharis, nothing soothes the heart like a foamy cup of chocho, 'cept maybe a whiskey toddy.

Thanks Ape. Hmmm.. I'm seeing potential in the idea of a foam topped whiskey chocolate.

You mean like this?
Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 cups brown sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. kosher salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup strong coffee
1/2 cup Jack Daniels Whiskey
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large bowl, stir the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine the eggs, coffee, whiskey, buttermilk and oil. Pour the egg mixture into the flour mixture and whisk until smooth. Spoon the mixture into prepared cupcake wrappers.
Bake for about 18-20 minutes until the tops spring back when lightly pressed. Cool completely + frost!
A friend e-mailed me this recipe a couple weeks ago. I'm thinking about making them on New Year's.

That sounds delightful, I like my French Roast with milk and sugar.
That bird thing is hilarious. That's how I've been with the xmas candy this year LOL. I REGRET NOTHING!!
We're staying in this xmas for a little dinner with friends. Anybody have any interesting holiday plans?
