I agree. Harry Potter 4 was an excellent film but it used to be something I could take my sister's kids to see as a treat - that movie was like taking them to see Nightmare on Elm Street. I don't think their kids films anymore.

The movies are definitely getting darker. My mum didn't care for this last one because it didn't leave her with a "warm, happy feeling inside." If she didn't like this one, I don't even know what she's going to think about the fifth and sixth movies...
It's such an interesting concept - having the books, stylistically and thematically, become more adult as Harry grows older.

Surprise surprise, I got Slytherin... which I get on most of the Sorting tests, actually.
Eh, I look like a female Snape, so it's fitting.

I usually do as well, but in this case I am glad I saw the movies before reading the books. I fell in love with the characters from the movies! Now that I have started reading the books, it's like an extended version of the movie with the same characters.

HE is definitely my favorite Professer. He's a bit cross at times, but I see the good deep within. I think he's just a little grumpy and crotchety.

A teenage boy is making so much money..................yet he didn't have to sue Michael Jackson. I never got into Harry Potter for some reason. I dunno, it just never appealed to me. Is that against the law? Am I the only one who has no interest in Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and those other popular series films? I don’t think that was a grammatically correct sentence.

Erm, what's a Snape? I'll look it up anyway since I'm a dork. Have I offended you?

Not at all. Snape is a character from Harry Potter, who was being discussed a ways up from your post.

ok, you asked for it... here's my Snape costume again. (I really am female, I promise. I just dressed as a male for Halloween because... well, look at me.)

I liked the books, but the movies..no so much. It seems to me that every book to movie production has sucked so badly *cough dune cough*
I just finished the half blood prince and I must say, I feel as if I've lost a good friend..

I just finished the sorcerers stone, and went straight off and bought the chamber of secrets. I can't wait to get home to read it!
P.s. The person they got to play Snape is perfect.

Well, like I said a while ago, I think Dumbledore asked him to.
But Snape still sucks, 'cause he's mean to Harry.

Over Xmas the boredom set in and I re-read books 4, 5 & 6. And I think they may have thrown out a horcrux when they cleaned up the house at the beginning of book 5 ...
A friend of mine thinks the RAB who took the horcrux Dumbledore & Harry went after in 6 in Regulus Black, Sirius' brother. Makes sense - he got killed for trying to bow out. And Slytherin's locket was sold by Voldemort's mother in 6, and disappears. If Voldemort later reclaimed it and made it a horcrux, Regulus would have taken it back to Grimmauld Place, the Black family home. Weeeeeeeeeeeell ... at the start of book 5, they throw out a locket because it's stuck shut with some kind of spell, and they can't open it.
The plot thickens ...
