Who else is a big Nightwish fan? And what's your favorite song/album?

I'm torn between "Planet Hell" and "Master Passion Greed" for my favorites, but I've yet to hear a bad Nightwish song.

I just noticed that while I asked for the favorites of others, I neglected to add my own selections. Romanticide is excellent, as are Moondance and Over the Hills and Far Away. I also have Wish You Were Here featuring Blackmore's Night that has quite an impressive play count on the iPod.

In my opinion, 'Ghost Love Score' is the most beautiful song ever written.

Ah, no accounting for tastes I see.

Would it be beyond you guys to enjoy perhaps BTK Band?

I mean, REALLY. It's so fucking easy to find things that are FAR bloody better than what Hot Topic spews out at you.

Maybe you guys would have better music tastes if you based it on actual musical creativity instead of weather the lead singer looks good in a corset or not.

I have never seen Nightwish at a Hot Topic actually. Although I have not been in one for a while, so I guess I may have missed it.

Geeze man... its not like Nightwish is the only band in our repitiores... you don't have to like them... but I'm sure those of us who would like to wallow in the melody are perfectly fine to.

And I was decently unaware that Hot Topic even had Nightwish merch.. perhaps they had gotten rid of it to make room for the Justin Beiber shirts (yes they have them :'()

And for the record Tarja has a whole shit-ton of musical talent. She has an ungodly range and a voice that doesn't quit... its not about how she looks in a corset... its about the fact that she is an incredibly awesome, classically trained, operatic vocalist.

Of course.. she's not in Nightwish any more... not fond of the new girl.. if this is about new Nightwish.. I'm out.

I adore NW. Both old and new. The singer doesn't matter. As long as Tuomas is there I'm happy.

Don't be ridiculous. If they did that they'd be talking Epica.

I like Tarja. I wish she did less Nightwishy songs and sang songs like this more often:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7jkJ...eature=related

It helps when she sings Finnish and I have no idea if they're bad lyrics.

Nightwish are responsible for some of my worst memories ever. Imagine you're sleeping - or at least trying to sleep - in your girlfriend's room while her mother, the one who's selling fish at the supermarket, is "singing" VERY LOUD while listening to Nightwish. And she CAN'T sing.

I lived thu that. Never been the same again.

I remember their Bye Bye Beautiful video giving me quite the nosebleed. My favorite song from Nightwish is Wanderlust from their Wishmaster album.

A mediocre band but good fun when you're younger and don't know many other bands. The best thing that came out of Nightwish was the 'Fishmaster' misheard lyrics vid.

The fact an 18 years old girl can sing better than her (we're talking about the new one, right? ) is meaningless to you.
I see, I see. So people like you are the reason they were looking for a "frontwoman" and not for a damn singer.
She was a jairdresser before, by the way.
And Tarja's so full of herself it does encourage a need to vomit. Thrice.
